Construction & Design/ Maintenance Street Light Engineer “2001 / July, 2014
1) Plan and Design of Street lighting new Schemes for certain period of time according it’s priority.
2) Arrange the list of material required for the scheme and prepare the Material Requisition.
3) Supervising contractor's work throughout the schemes and Implement Improvement on their performance, make sure that they Instigate Safety Procedure.
4) Evaluate contractor's Performance on completion of schemes, towards its Continuous Improvement.
5) Checking contractors' Invoices with regard to calculation and if submitted according to measurement.
6) Ensuring Safety of EDD and Contractors personnel at work.
7) Suggest ideas to improve quality and safe to personals as well as procedure when executing the works.
8) Setting of objectives and targets, developing initiatives and monitoring results in terms of quality, safety, per-formance and client satisfaction
In Electricity Distribution Directorate, August, 1996 - 2001
1) Contracts & Substation Maintenance Sections
Responsible for the construction of LV and 11KV networks - overhead lines, underground cables, pole and ground mounted transformers and substations,
Arrange list of materials required for the schemes and prepare the material requisition. Preparing programs for shutdown requests for 11kv and LV Net Works, Switching on, 11KV and LV. Isolating, earthing and identifying overhead and underground 11KV circuits. Spiking, phasing out underground cables and issuing the relevant "Per-mit to Work" to the contractor's supervisor, accepting responsibility that the cable is safe to work
Taking measurement of the work carried out, example, trenches, laid cables, erection of 11KV, and LV overhead lines transformers, etc. Ensure proper handling and usage of material issued to contractors. Commissioning of 11KV and LV in the EDD networks Issuing Hot work certificates on the “Hazardous Area’s”, such as welding in switchgear room, etc...
In Electricity Transmission Directorate, January, 1981 - 1996
1) Protection Section, 1981 /1991 Primary and Secondary Injection, Bus - Bar and Transformer Protection Primary Injection, Feeder Protection, Testing of Equipment's Instruments, Switching on 11KV, 33KV and 66KV
2) Technical Services Section, 1991 / 1996 Conduct switching operation on high voltage 11kv, 33kv and 66kv feeders and transformers. Commissioning of controls system, Local/Remote switching and Sf6 Gas Detection, Sys-tem .Alarms/faults, Fire system, Air condition System and Pressurization System, Commissioning of controls sys-tem, Local/Remote switching and Sf6 Gas Detection System,
