Leading in finalization of Trial Balance and monitors accounts payables, receivables, inventories, fixed assets, provisions and maintenance of the ERP based book keeping by authorizing the accounting entries for posting in ERP and ensuring that everything has been reconciled with up to date documentation.
Liaison with external auditors regarding Annual audit of final accounts and Interim audit of half year financials. Furthermore, conducts oversee reporting to other regulatory bodies with respect to financials including ICAD survey reporting & VAT reporting.
Leading in financing issues and their calculations in terms of different financial arrangements from Banks i.e. Debt syndication and restructuring proposals. Developing financial models based on given set of assumptions to achieve targeted rate of return to explore new business opportunities including their financial arrangement activities and reporting it to Group CFO.
Review of monthly projected cash flows of the companies for the better management of banks position & working capital limits, prioritizing the payments and following up with sales department for collections.
Coordination with internal auditors & other departments regarding finalization of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) related to receivables, payables, procurement, inventory, capital/revenue expenditures etc. and actively involved for their compliance and any further updates or necessary amendments.
Effectively prepare & finalize monthly & quarterly accounts, provide essential financial information to assist in executive decision making, finalize budgets, performed financial projections & cash flow management.
Supervised monthly stock-taking & quantitative reconciliation of stocks and report any discrepancies to management. Implementing the necessary measures as advised by management.
Expertly verifying the client’s position to maintain decision making on timely basis. Ensure proper generation and posting of Invoice and timely follows up from clients for payments as per contract terms.
Determining timely entry of purchase invoice in accounting systems with all supporting documentation.
During the employment period with the audit firm, I was involved in various assignments in Audit & Assurance (Internal as well statutory External audits), system evaluation, consultancy, accounting and finance, different forensic assignments and Enterprise Risk Services. The various sectors where I worked, ranged from Power/Energy dealing under Pakistan WAPDA, manufacturer of chemicals, textile, trading, non-profit organization and service sectors. The assignments included full scope audits internal as well as external, limited reviews, agreed upon procedures, forensic assignments and special certificates in accordance with the regulatory requirements etc. for different recurring and initial engagements.
The Major Roles and Responsibilities were
1. Developing detail audit strategy including risk assessment of various heads and their related audit procedures.
2. Making time budget and coordinating with staff to meet the reporting deadlines.
3. Coordination with management of the client, engagement partner and audit team for efficient and effective working. Leading team and process of audit by effective and efficiently allocation of the resources.
4. Supervising the team for developing necessary procedures to mitigate the assessed risks in accordance to understanding the entities and their environments;
5. Preparation of Financial statements and other deliverables according to Applicable laws and framework and scope of the engagements.
6. Managing and directing the overall audit proceeding on Engagement Management System ( EMS)
7. Finalization of audit and overall responsibilities of quality control reviews and finally archival of the audit files.
Expertly maintain account of receivables, payables and employees, handled inventory controls and present the reports to Finance Manager.
Perform fixed asset management & debt collection, preparing bank & control accounts reconciliations.
