• Responsible for timely, efficient and effective delivery of a high quality, food security and livelihoods program.
• Ensure the thematic program is in line with the priorities, with support from the Programme Manager and technical advice from the Food security and livelihoods Advisor.
• Develop and establish system and procedures for receiving beneficiary grievance/complaints and analyse to help improve the quality of the food security and livelihoods program deliverables.
• Predetermine beneficiary selection criteria in consultation with donor and associated authority prior to registrations process, in accordance with Save the Children standards and values.
• Set the programme objectives in line with the donor conditions and work-plan in consultation with all stakeholders.
• Prepare distributions reports for donors and Save the Children on food commodity receipts, distribution in the areas of operation, as well as any difficulties encountered. Document and report all food losses at the distribution sites.
• Be responsible to coordinate the preparation and monitor the implementation of the Food Aid project work-plan, financial reporting and forecast in consultation with Programme Manager and Food security and livelihoods Advisor.
• Establish effective donor and stakeholders' relation by attending regular donor and stakeholders' meetings and negotiate donor agreements.
• Lead, support and motivate food distribution team members, ensuring that team members have clear understanding of objectives and receive meaningful feedback on their performance.
• Train staff on proper commodity programming, distribution and reporting, and provide commodity management support to the field staff to ensure accountability and consistency; review commodity management and reporting systems
• Other duties: Perform other official duties as assigned by the supervisor and by the senior managers of the organization.
