# DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGY #
- Prepared ‘DESIGN CRITERIA’ for upcoming development; as a base reference to planning & preparation of preliminary/concept drawings.
- Contributed majorly for developing ‘TDM (Tenant Design Manual)’ for tenants towards technical MEP system design. Also guiding Fit-out team for coordination with available provisions & metering. Developed ‘Generic MEP design’ for guidance to tenants in context to system design, component/material selection, implementation & installation.
- Developing, drafting & administrating engineering policies that includes Health & Safety, Waste management, Energy conservation, etc.
# TECHNICAL SUPPORT & ENGINEERING PRACTICE #
- Review of PHE (Public Health Engineering) & FLS (Fire & Life Safety) systems for new developments & existing operating malls.
- Full fledge support with justified design & calculation of ‘SMOKE Management system’ for existing malls under refurbishment; in accordance with CIVIL DEFENSE requirements.
- Leading the coordination process in both directions :
1) Horizontally - across other discipline &
2) Vertically - Higher management.
- Reviewing BOD (Basis of Design) & other design narratives, system & material specification & technical drawings. Ensuring all of these are in accordance with SBC (Saudi Building Code) & other international codes/standards.
- Assessing method statement & sequence of operation of Mechanical installation & system.
- Quality check of material (individual & sample board) with respect to application, durability, fire-rating & safety. Regularly reviewing as per following
1) Material submittal with sample
2) FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) for large equipments/components
3) Mock test for installation
- Assuring systems in ‘Fit-to-operate’ status prior to official handover.
# SUSTAINABILITY #
- Encouraging energy efficient design to value water & energy resources; Promoting Green building practice.
- Supporting study of ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) impacts in Sustainability reporting. Assisting sustainability consultant with data/information for :
1) LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)
2) CO2 emission accounting
3) Waste Management
- Evaluating & assessing consultants/supplier, vendor and contractor for their output & end-product.
- Extensively involved in ‘Al Hokair Hospital’ & ‘Najran University Hospital’ projects.
- Design of Medical Gas Piping system as per HTM 02-01 (Part A & B).
- Developing shop drawing & calculation package.
- Issuance of IFA (Issued for Approval) & IFC (Issued for Construction) package.
- Development of Design, specification & BOQ estimation.
- Planning the design stages for executing each discipline.
- Estimating the tenure for mechanical engineering design.
- Coordinating for MEP with ARCH & STRUCTURAL discipline.
- Project titled ‘Aden General Hospital’ for ‘Port Cities Development Program’, Aden government sponsored by ministry of KSA.
- Job role was to check the design & put up ideas for new areas as & when required.
- Meeting up clients at project site for collecting and analyzing requirements.
- Co-ordinating with other disciplinary technocrats of the project for better design.
- Centralized chilled water system for Multi-storeys, Shopping malls & Cinemas.
- Design of air-conditioning system & other design attributes as well.
- Promoting sales of turnkey project service that included design, planning & execution.
- As a trainee, learnt elementary sales skills & provided technical assistance to senior engineers in various activities right from the proposal plan to the layout design in Chilled water system design.
