Responsibility / Job Profile:
Heading department for functions of Materials, Procurement (Domestic and Imports), Stores and PPC for 6 manufacturing set up (4 in India, 1 in UAE and 1 in China)
Major commodity handled -Steel Rolled Products including Seamless Steel Tubes, HR Plates, (Imports), Billet, as raw materials. Also responsible for procurement of Cylinder and Cascade accessories, Production & Maintenance consumables, Fuels and Machine Parts, CAPEX, Contracts & Services & Stores. Inventory management & Scrap disposal
Major Responsibility:
• RM planning and Procurement complying to statutory, legal and functional requirements.
• To develop and establish new vendor and suppliers (Raw Material, Components assemblies, Direct and Indirect Material, Capital Goods, Machinery, Sub-contracting and services).
• Cost reduction through value engineering, development of alternate source, alternate material and processes.
• Development of new items.
• All policy and strategy matters regarding pricing, supplier development, suppliers’ assessments, and performance monitoring.
• Negotiation and decision making for all types of procurements.
• Production Planning and Control.
• Plant operational issues, related to customs, MIDC and such statutory boards.
• Customs clearing and all in bound out bound logistics.
• Monthly stock reporting, price evaluation, input- output reconciliation.
Achievements:
• Achievement in large and substantial savings, lowering and keeping the prices of material in control in the constrained situation by value engineering, developing alternate sources, reducing prices for existing suppliers, redefining processes etc.

Major Responsibility:
• Heading the SCM functions, responsible for Sourcing, Vendor Development, Materials, Logistics, Imports and Stores department, for Direct, Indirect Material, Capital Goods, all type of sub-contracting and services.
• Cost reduction through value engineering, development of alternate source, alternate material and processes.
• Implementation of Oracle 11i, ISO 14001 / OSHAS 18001.
• Implementing 5S, KANBAN, JIT, milk run programs and practices.
• Key and decisive member of Consortium for sheet metal (CRCA Steel) purchasing for Cummins group and GOEMs in India (volume 45000 M Ton)
Achievements:
• Important role in increasing production and sale turnover by 40%, ensuring timely availability of material and outsourcing in house activities.
• Achievement in large and substantial savings, lowering and keeping the prices of material in control in the situation of abnormal hike and volatility in prices for steel commodity by correct forecasting of prices, value engineering, developing alternate sources, reducing prices for existing suppliers, redefining processes etc.
• Improved Inventory Turns from 7 to 12 & did improvement in Suppliers Quality Rating (from 15000 ppm to 1000), and on time delivery performances (from 71% to 95%).

• Heading Purchase, Materials, Vendors Development, Sub Contracting, Logistics & Stores for 04 manufacturing set ups (2 at Pune, 2 in M.P.)
• Dealing with variety of steel, forgings; machined items, sheet metal parts and assemblies, including other metal, non-metal auto parts, like plastic, rubber components, paints, chemicals, machine spares, consumables, tools, maintenance requirements, outsourcing of various services and sub contracting.
Achievements:
• Streamlined procurement activities, established and formed policies of procurement.
• Substantial and very large savings through cost reduction with existing and new suppliers and vendors through value engineering, cost reduction of the bought out items, steels, forgings, castings and consumables.

Period: 4 year & 2 months (June 1997 to October 2001)
Rishi, Rs. 100 Cr renowned manufacturers for Sheet Metal Assemblies, Acoustic Enclosures, Canopies produced with CNC laser Cut machines, supplying to many MNCs, and others in India and abroad. Rishi have manufacturing set ups in Maharashtra, Gujrat and Karnataka.
Responsibility / Job Profile:
• Initially in business development and marketing.
• To look after Purchase of various steel and parts of the SPM, vendor development for outsourcing of various activities involved in manufacturing of machine parts.
• Project Execution and Marketing activities for Machine and Laser Division, for Domestic and Overseas market.
