Currently, I am a final year student studying towards a Bachelor degree in Public Relations at the London College of Communication – University of the Arts London, focusing on the stream of 'Theory and Practice'. My studies emphasize on how PR practitioners are the voice of an organisation, spreading the message about what is happening, why it is happening and the different stages which are needed for a successful campaign through many diverse aspects such as media relations, corporate social responsibility, crisis management, issue management etc. It has taught me over the years that PR is about helping people to understand more about what an organisation does, perhaps to sell more products, perhaps to encourage more people to use vital services, perhaps to encourage people to do new and exciting things that may change their lives forever. My grades for year one was 2:1, grade for year two was 2:1 and i am now predicted an overall 2:1 when i graduate in July 2013.
