• Managing the review & audit engagement process and ensuring a smooth audit progress & deadlines meeting, in addition to proofreading the audit reports & audited financial statements.
• Mastering Local GAAP & Tax laws implementation in Qatar and working closely with auditors in any new IFRS or Local GAAPs implementations. Functioning closely with the external actuary team during the quarterly and annual reserving process and ensuring that the company's technical reserves (OS, UPR, IBNR, PDR & ULAE) are well calculated & booked
• Monitoring the company's receivable balances & Aging and working hand in hand with CC and Commercial teams to maximize all collection efforts, maintain a positive operating cash flow,
• Directing and participating in several internal project's committees, such as (BPR project, licensing projects, Automation, S&P rating committee). Developing executive analysis reports highlighting business issues, potential risks, and profit opportunities and implementing efficient accounting and various operations systems for the smooth functioning of the organization.
• Building professional relations with key clients, bankers, professional firms

• Managing and overseeing the daily operation of the accounting department.
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing monthly full financial packs (financial Statements, performance & trend analysis, Management dash board & KPIS).
• Monitor on Quarterly basis the Company’s MCR (Minimum capital requirement), and ensure that the company is operating in compliance with capital requirement regulations issued by QFC & central bank.
• Analyze the monthly investment income & FMV for the company’s investment portfolio.
• Handling the review & audit engagement process and ensuring a smooth audit progress & deadlines meeting, in addition to proof reading the audit reports & audited financial statements.

• Entrusted to manage the report team in the head office & within the group subsidiaries in the MENAT region.
• Worked with the team in preparing Monthly/Quarterly & Yearly consolidated financial statements and all related disclosures. Set up new & reviewing existing Company's Polices. Successfully assessed joint venture's financial statements and applied (Equity /Cost accounting) in recognizing the group carrying amount of investments yearly; applied foreign currency translation accounting standards while consolidating the group subsidiaries' financial statements.
• Accountable for preparing various case studies related to business operations and ensuring a clear presentation of the financial impacts of any new proposed operating activities.
• Handled the review & Audit engagement process (Head office & country level) and conducted several meetings with the audit engagement team to ensure smooth progress & deadlines meeting

-Maintain day-to-day control over the Accounting department financial transactions & operations, and ensuring timely posting for all Journal Vouchers, POS transactions.
-Handling the monthly, quarterly & yearly closing process, and ensuring a timely closing for all financial modules.
-Following up with all accounting divisions’ section heads in the closing process, and ensuring that all adjusting entries and closing procedures are well followed and prepared.
-Checking the final trial balance generated from the system and ensuring that all accounts are free of errors and mistakes.
-Preparing the monthly financial package (BS, P&L & Cash flow statement), and discussing the figures with the accounting manager & financial controller for any comments or inquires.
-Checking and verifying all payment voucher prepared by the treasury division before submission to management approvals.
-Dealing with the external & internal auditor’s requirements during the course of engagement, and ensuring a timely submission for all required data.
-Dealing with the regulatory bodies’ yearly audit engagements (Income/sales tax, Telecommunication regulatory Commission (TRC) audit, and discussing different related issues pertaining to new regulations, laws, Etc.)
-Responsible for maintaining an updated chart of accounts.
-Performing semiannual performance evaluation for the accounting staff and setting up future job objectives.

-Leading the accounts payable team on the daily operations.
-Ensuring the implication of the company's policy regarding invoices, payments and all related issues to accounts payable.
-Updating monthly accounts payable aging register, and ensuring that all payments are prepared and approved before due dates.
-Dealing & negotiating with suppliers to obtain the maximum discounts offered by them in order to process early settlements of due accounts.
-Responsible for performing monthly closing for the A/P model and ensuring that all expenses and liabilities related to the month are recorded and to prepare adjusting entries to book accruals for all un- recorded invoices and open P.Os.
-Dealing with the banks for different issues related to the business.
-Assisting the chief accountant and accounting management in performing assessment for the AP personnel and ensuring continues coaching and training for all members.
