Responsible for overseeing, leading, and carrying out planned and reactive/corrective civil maintenance tasks according to schedules and KPIs. Also responsible for conducting regular and planned Building Fabric Inspections and surveys for all campus buildings. Supervise and direct the company's and subcontractor's staff involved in delivering projects and maintenance (including Life Cycle/Variations Projects per annum, which may be subject to changes). Provide technical guidance and support for architectural, building, and civil engineering maintenance and projects. Additionally, assist in managing the FF&E Asset Management and analyze reported defects and faults related to the civil discipline to provide cost-effective technical solutions. Work with stores to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and supervise space planning requirements with the University. Finally, produce maintenance-related Risk Assessments and Method Statements to support the maintenance department.
Responsible for overseeing technical personnel at construction sites, managing all operations and maintenance activities, and providing advice to management on design and construction. Suggest modifications to existing designs and solutions, and recommend structural repairs if needed. Strong knowledge of engineering, design, technology, and construction, and possess excellent critical thinking, operations analysis, decision-making, and complex problem-solving skills. Exercise good judgment on a daily basis, determining which solutions to implement and setting priorities, as well as estimating costs and deadlines. Manage tasks such as obtaining quotes for projects, drafting contracts, overseeing maintenance and custodial operations, and filing for rebates and refunds for various products or services as necessary, as well as handling insurance requests.
Project engineer collaborated with the client to ensure their requirements were met, oversaw the site execution and provided supervision, and developed strategies for commencing and completing each project.
