Responsible for overseeing the Real Estate aspect of the Retail Property function, which includes managing the expansion plans for new store openings and assets management, site selection, budgeting, and maintaining brand standards and requirements within the MH Alshaya portfolio. This involves liaising with landlords and host brands to ensure the portfolio meets the desired standards and objectives.
●Create and execute regional strategy for the Retail Real Estate Division, maximizing business growth by consulting with key stakeholders, reviewing property trends, and aligning with business needs.
●Manage and develop the team to meet future business requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
●Lead the Real Estate team within the region, providing clear direction, motivation, and development opportunities to meet current and future business requirements.
●Consult with divisional stakeholders, advising on property and market developments, and establishing bespoke requirements for brands.
●Track and manage property costs, making recommendations to the business and deciding acceptable lease terms and changes.
●Assess commercial opportunities and risks, presenting cost and investment analysis to the Retail Property Director.
●Provide consultancy services on legal aspects of leases and other related issues such as insurance.
●Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and gain a comprehensive understanding of brand requirements.
●Manage stakeholder expectations within assigned markets.
●Develop and maintain internal and external relationships, acting as an ambassador for the company.
●Identify, investigate, and evaluate potential retail sites, negotiate leases, and achieve competitive rates.
●Conduct property portfolio reviews and recommend brand expansion strategies for optimal performance and property optimization.
●Review proposed store layouts and communicate the Store Opening Schedule to the business.
