Accounting Career Outline
•Responsible for planning, managing and controlling all the accounting functions of the finance department in the company. This includes preparing periodic management reports and financial statements through supervising the five staff members of the accounting department. Cash management is an important role within my responsibilities covering the areas of cheques issuance and cash collections. In addition, I had to keep good relationships with banks, suppliers and other parties important to the company’s activities.
Audit Career Outline
•Documenting and reviewing the client’s systems and procedures to evaluate the internal controls and determine the associated risks.
•Preparing the audit program including the selection of the procedures, timing and extent to be followed.
•Applying a variety of auditing procedures and techniques to the financial transactions.
•Preparation of audit working papers evidencing the execution of the audit programs.
•Analyzing the balances and ratios of the financial statements together with justifications and notes thereon.
•Preparing and presenting the management letter to the client stating the noted weaknesses in the internal control system and other findings along with our suggested corrective actions.
•Performing review, compilation and agreed upon procedures engagements.
•Preparation of Zakat computation, filling up the Zakat format and submitting them to the Department of Zakat & Income Tax (DZIT), follow up on the Zakat position with DZIT, and replies to the Department of Zakat and Income Tax inquiries.
•Attending year-end stock counts and reporting any related observations.
•Directed operational audits for Islamic Banks, Financial Institutions, trading and many other industries to assess controls designed to mitigate financial and operational and risks and ensure compliance with established laws and regulations, and Islamic Standards and Fatwa’s and Other international Standards.
