Northern Region Cement Company was founded on 2006. Headquartered in Riyadh, it is a Saudi joint stock company incorporated in the Saudi Stock Market with a share capital of SR 1, 800 million. It started production in the first half of 2008, and is specialized in the field of cement manufacturing. It operates through its subsidiaries in Jordan, Iraq & Syria.


Areas of responsibility:
 Chief Accountant.
• Preparing financial and management reports (i.e. periodic and annual Financial Statements, in accordance with International accounting standards for internal and external purposes).
• Supervising the activities and employees of the financial department in conformance with the approved systems, policies and procedures and delegated authorities.
• Supervising month-end and year-end closing process.
• Prepare audit schedules and support activities of internal and external auditors.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Creating solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial/treasury knowledge.
• Manage Auditing & Reviewing procedures for all payroll matters.
• Manage Zakat & VAT file for the Company.
• Working on SAP ERP system.

Al-Shalawi Int’l Holding Co. for Trading & Contracting.

Al-Shalawi Co. Saudi closed joint-stock company operates in seven Business Sectors, namely Construction, Transportation, Real Estate, Trading, Asphalt, Ready-mix concrete, Travel & Tourism and Services. Large-scale investments are made in developing land and property through our Real Estate Division and many business partnerships are initiated with global companies via our Investment Division.

Areas of responsibility:
 Chief Accountant. (Directly Reporting to VP Finance).
• Preparing financial and management reports (i.e. budgets, periodic and annual Financial Statements & segment reporting, in accordance with local accounting standards for internal and external purposes).
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
• Providing management with accurate and complete financial information, including financial statements, variance reports; to monitor operating expenditures and revenues and to make timely recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare Board Meeting Reports (To present the Group Quarterly results & performance).
• Represent the company in dealing with various banks to negotiate competitive bank facilities.
• Develop, recommend and maintain a system of policies, procedures and manuals that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities, (i.e. Fixed Assets Management Policy, Provisions Policy, Business Trip Policy & Payroll Cycle Manual).
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of a Finance Department structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
• Supervising the activities and employees of the financial department in conformance with the approved systems, policies and procedures and delegated authorities.
• Supervising month-end and year-end close process.
• Prepare audit schedules and support activities of internal and external auditors (PWC).
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Analyzing costs related to projects and compared to the budget.
• Develop and Maintain New chart of accounts.
• Creating solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial/treasury knowledge.
• Manage payroll matters for Company, business units.
• Working on "New ERP System (Visual Soft) implementation project" as a head of implementation team in the finance department, with the following responsibilities:
Supervise all phases of implementation of the project.
Designing New Chart of Accounts and cost dimensions Structure.
Designing Comprehensive budgeting module.
Design and perform the different modules and functions.
Design and perform the different financial reports.
• Giving the company's employees training courses on Excel program and CMA as a part of internal Training program has been adopted and approved by the company's management.

Areas of responsibility:

• Supervisor Accountant- treasury department for all Group companies (Central Treasury department).
 Handling LCs, LGs & Loans.
 Record all bank transactions (Payment, Loans and LCs).
 Manage our banks facilities, coordinate with our banks.
 Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
 Prepare monthly cash flow to manage the cash outflow & inflow.
 In charge of preparing special reports required by financial controller.
 Prepare external auditor's requirements at the end of the financial year.


• Senior Accountant - AP department & Fixed Assets.
 Record all Suppliers and subcontractors Invoices.
 Prepare suppliers and subcontractors reconciliation in monthly basis.
 Prepare Suppliers monthly payments as per agreements or purchase orders.
 Preparing monthly ageing report.
 Review the daily entries (Petty cash, AP, Payments, Fixed assets).
 Managing all assets addition and disposal on FA register:
- The company owns a large number of assets that exceeds 8500 items (heavy equipment, cars,
furniture, …etc) spread all around the kingdom.
- Calculate financial lease contracts payments and interests for assets.
- Merge and disposal of assets and calculate gain/loss resulted from these actions.
- Supervise the periodic assets check process.
- Calculate monthly depreciation expenses.

Areas of responsibility:
 Handling Cost Control & internal cost reports.
 Prepare monthly cost allocation entries.
 Handling Inventory management.
 Leader of the Stocktake team.
 Handling Fixed Assets & Projects (Additions, retirement and monthly depreciation).
 Record project under construction transactions.
 Record monthly payroll entry.
 Preparing day to day transaction and entries
 Review all sales invoices and cash collection.
