This degree combines two separate disciplines to acquire the professional skills of both electronic and electrical engineering and a basic knowledge of the biological sciences. In addition to the technical subjects of the course, the degree programme is also organised to develop further skills in both oral and written communication, to use computers as a management tool, to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team and to apply gained knowledge to find solutions to open ended problems.
