Freelance: Conducting QA/QC and technical consultancy of structural and architectural works for three commercial buildings projects; Dbayeh-76, 15-Storey Building, Chiyah-948, 20-Storey and Musaytbeh 20-storey Building.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to inspect the civil work activities (i.e. reinforcement and concrete) for raft, post tension slabs and vertical elements. - Review materials and structural drawings submittals - Review work schedule against base line schedule using Primavera P6 software in terms of work sequence, time and actual cost against budget cost.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Project Manager, Resident Engineer & Senior Civil Engineer; project management and
technical consultancy services provided for commercial, hotel and residential buildings. The
following scopes include:

Review and approval of monthly payment certificates issued by the contractor.
Review and approval of monthly progress reports issued by the contractor.
Review and approval of variation orders, claims, RFI’s, BOQ, etc… issued by the
contractor.
Review and monitor the work schedule issued and updated monthly by the contractor.
Review civil/structural shop drawings, concrete materials submittals, method statements,
design calculations, etc… submitted by the contractor.
Supervising and managing rehabilitation of existing old building structures (i.e. Lebanese
National Library & Bank of Beirut).

Duties:
- Review and approve concept design for 16 plots in the Development, in addition to setting
out procedures and assisting investors to seek pre-construction approvals from the Client.
- Prepared construction strategy manual for each plot in the Master Development.
- Supervise all aspects of construction activities, resources, equipment, manpower, etc…
- Apply strict Quality Assurance & Quality Control methods.
- Review construction method statements for all aspects of construction activities.
- Review and approve material submittals & shop drawing submittals.
- Monitor and control performance of contractor & consultant based on program of work.
- Implement strict safety procedures on site.

Position: Survey Engineer Expert
Duties: Carried out structural investigation and survey on the integrity of the existing
building structures to assess the defects including quantity and corresponding methods of
repair required to regain the integrity and quality of the structures. The survey,
assessment, repair recommendations and/or supervision of repair works were made on
projects such as:
- Al-Ain Palace Hotel November 2003 - February 2004
- Al-Ain Hospital April-July 2004

Duties:
- Oversee the implementation and compliance of hollow core slab production to the
approved QA/QC procedures of AL-MEREIKHI Factory for Marina Mall Extension
Project in Abu Dhabi August 2004 - February 2005
- Developed Inspection & Test Plans & QA/QC procedures at Ready Mix Abu Dhabi
Ltd. for concrete production. The following duties were as follows: February 2002 - November 2003
- Periodical batch plants calibration
- Monitoring the implementation of RMAD’s quality control procedures

Position: QA/QC Engineer
Duties: Carried out structural design review & review of method statements and
drawings for construction and rehabilitation of Zayed Sports City External
Services’ Gallery (Tunnel) - Phase 2 in Abu Dhabi. Also, supervised repair
works & new construction of the said structure including waterproofing
works……April 2000 - June 2001.
