HarmonyComputers is an IT Service Provider, it provides high quality IT services to well-known multinational firms operating in Egypt, Citi Bank among these, and my responsibilities include:
• Meet clients to govern requirements; define scope of project(s); planning timescales and the desired resources;
• Clarify client's system specifications, analyze work practice(s) and the nature of the business; visit customer sites; liaise with staff at all levels;
• Recommend suitable ERP system(s) and its associated requirements (software, hardware, network, …etc), as well as the sufficient Security borders; analyze IT requirements and provide independent and objective advice(s) concerning the use of these IT resources;
• Present solution(s) in written and oral reports and/or presentations; designing, testing, installing and monitoring the newly selected systems;

NATCO comprised of head office and 6 branches, 13 IT guru were serving all IT activities (AutoLine ERP system, Data Center, Disaster Recovery, LAN-WAN Infrastructure and Communications, Security, Help Desk, WEB Domains and Sites, and others), and my responsibilities include:
• Direct and coordinate information system(s) designing, planning, implementation, troubleshooting and correction.
• Architecting, building, and running Disaster Recovery sites.
• Standardize the AUTOLINE’s (ERP) modules among the 6 branches and the head office.
• Ensuring 100% uptime production platform(s) to internal and external clients / stakeholders.
• Making sure proper communication channels are in place among IT-team and rest of colleagues
• Participates in business unit strategic planning and product development meetings.
• Responsible raising the competency-level of the IT-team (training, education, development)
• Hire, dismiss, and train IT and / or consultants as the need arises.
• Provide regular (monthly and quarterly) Budget, Forecast, and Year-end reports concerning IT investments, accompanied with justifications.
• Key participant in the development of the long-term technical strategy for the business unit.

DSD-Ferrometalco is major German Steel-Construction player in Egypt, it comprised of Head Office and huge Factory, 5 IT professionals were serving all IT activities in these premises as well as on the project’s site(s), and my responsibilities include:
• Plan and oversee the development, implementation, and support of information technology services,
• Participate in selecting the suitable ERP system and making sure that the segregation of duties are in place and the system is available 24*7 to all users according to their privileges / ranking,
• Oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training and application of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution. Motivate employees to achieve ultimate productivity and performance,
• Participate in short/long-term planning and policy development, as it pertains to core information technology support for the Organization, as well as in the development of the annual operating budgets and provides fiscal direction for the department,
• Develop an effective working relationships and lines of communication with the staff at all levels,

MCV is 1000+ users spread in 12 sites within Egypt and 4 abroad sites, 4 technical guru and one developer were under my direct supervision, my responsibilities include:
• Manage two IT sections “Technical” and “Solution”.
• Oversee the overall IT operation, security and performance of network infrastructure and data center operations, also increase the level of automation through the Solution department.
• Engaged directly with business users, process owners and management alongside IT team interfaces to manage SAP/R3 business process changes & configuration, and provide business consultancy, change leadership and second level SAP/R3 system support for the implemented SAP/R3 modules (FI - Finance Accounting, SD - Sales and Distribution, PP - Production Planning, MM - Material Management) and all its related sub-modules and IT application systems.
• Manage an effective and prompt technical support whenever required & ensuring of gaining the customer satisfaction.
• Manage and ensure all dispute cases are solved in line to the agreed SLA with proper standard
• Lead, supervise and train sub-ordinate to ensure their level of discipline and knowledge in executing their jobs, tasks and make sure they are abreast with the latest technology.
• Responsible for departmental budget and business plan coordination.
• Contribute and actively participate in Risk Management processes.
• Periodical review of department’s performance, staff appraisal against per-determined objectives, SLA and KPI.
• Solution department is supervised by the undersigned, automating the administrative as well as the business unit’s cycles is considered our mission.

•Assisting the IT Security Manager in operating all related Security activities of I.T. tasks as a subject of security and controls over all users’ access in addition to I.T. staff accessibility, authorization and actions for different applications.
•Preview daily produced related security reports and logs
•Assisting the ISM in performing snap checks on monthly bases in concern with the security standards
•Create and update the necessary procedural and user guide manuals related to operations security standards and policies
•Develop together with the I.T. Depts. involved the contingency plan and disaster procedures
•Raising the awareness of Information Security across the Bank
•Develop / use proper tools to control the Security aspects, which help in keeping an eye over the findings reported through the different kind of Auditors.

•Create the IT department, ensure the maximum availability of computer systems throughout the Company, oversee the systems backups, archiving, disaster recovery and handling security issues,
•Implement successfully the ERP systems (Platinum and MS-GreatPlains),
•Supervise the implementation of the International IT projects with the Corporate/IT (CODE, PGN, DIAMOND, PIXs, RAS, …etc),
•Report periodically to the head quarter concerning the IT activities in place through the implemented MIS and/or quality programs (Philips Quality Award = ISO standard, Internal Control System = ITIL concepts, HPoV = ITIL based, Philips Business Excellence, Process Survey Tools PST, Balance Score Cards BSC),
•Budget holder for the IT department (prepare, discuss, monitor and justify),
•Member of the EMEA IT Committee,
•Supervise the LAN / WAN’s performance,
•Implemented and installed variety of Network Operating Systems (Novell NetWare 4.11, Win. NT, 2003 and IBM-AIX Unix Operating System) in a completely controlled LAN,
•Manage the performance of the WAN (using the CISCO Routers to connect the Egyptian office with the Philips’ global network),
•Manage the Implementation of the electronic e-Mail systems (cc:Mail, then Lotus Notes),
•Implement database application (using IBM-Notes groupware database), with the goal enhancing the level of automation and increase the accuracy in the business’ cycles,
•Deal with third parties in studying the different automated projects to be implemented,
•Supporting the local (Philips Egypt) staff on a daily basis,
•Deal with the maintenance (third party) company in solving hardware problems and
•Supervise the regular preventive maintenance of the IT assets (servers, switches, routers, …etc)
