• Plan, direct and coordinate the implementation of effective accounting and financial policies, procedures and reports to ensure sound financial management and control as well as compliance with reporting standards
• Preparation of financial and management reports and ensure compliance of tax regulations (VAT, PAYE and Withholding Tax) and other regulatory requirements such as SSNIT
• Preparation of financial statement
• Preparation of salary journals and payroll
• Daily bank reconciliation of all bank accounts, clients and suppliers accounts
• Maintaining and updating fixed asset schedule
• Preparation of daily expense and payment vouchers
• Passing of month end adjustments and provisions into the accounts
• Provides financial advice by studying operational issues; applying financial principles and practices; developing recommendations
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s financial strategy and oversight of financial accounting, project treasury management and general accounting and finance functions
• Reviewing Ledgers to Ensure Error-free Transactions and Reconciliation
• Reviewing a Variety of Internal Activities and Procedures for the Purpose of Ensuring Compliance with Prescribed Standards
• Analyzing Tellers Activities and Report on any Irregularity Noted
• Ensuring that Transactions are Carried According to Standard Operating Procedures
• Spooling Data on SWIFT Platform for the Preparation of Foreign Bank Reconciliation
• Preparing Local (BOG - Cedi, Dollar, Pound, Euro) and Foreign Bank Reconciliation Statement
• Designing Control Checklist for Branch/Unit for Unit Head’s Review Prior to Review of Transactions
• Confirming the Authenticity of Customers Bank Details Submitted to Various Embassies
• Reviewing Proofs, Reconciliation and Suspense Accounts for Early Detection of Irregularities Before External Examination
• Contributing to the Achievement of the Bank's Quality Objectives and Improve Upon the Quality Management Systems Applicable to the Role.
Coordinating the achievement of branch target in corporate and personal current accounts
Developing new business relationships to increase the bank’s profitability
Meeting with customers to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process
Evaluating applicants’ financial circumstances to determine if the applicant qualifies for a loan
Updating account details and confirmation of customer cheques
Maintaining customer relationships, new business, and periodic visit to existing customers
Training newly recruited marketing officers
Supervising marketing officer’s daily activities to ensure their targets are achieved
Preparation of cash book and monthly reconciliation statement
Payroll preparation and analysis of financial reports
Management of money in the bank account of the organization
Updating stock records
Managing daily accounting records
Computation of taxes and NHIL returns on receipts of the company
