• Developing HSE Plans and procedures based on Company HSE policy and local requirements.
• Manage the development and maintenance of HSE Management System with respect to specified standards (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
• Develop Waste Mgt, Journey Management, Action Tracking, HSE Compliance, Performance Monitoring, Emergency Response, HSE Awareness Training and Competence, Access Control, HSE Induction Briefing Notes for the Afam VI Power Plant
• Conducting in-house HSE Training Programme on different Topics for Client, Management staff, Supervisors & Workers.
• Arranging external training.
• HSE Inspections/Audits.
• Site checks/observations.
• Hazard identification & Control.
• Accident reporting, investigation, recommendations to prevent recurrences & follow-up action.
• Conducting emergency drills.
• To advise the management in fulfilling all the statutory obligations with respect to HSE.
• Conducting HSE meeting with Client and site management.
• Familiarization and implementation of ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OHSAS-18001 Procedures.

 Preparation and Periodically Review of HSE MS., HSE CASE, and HSE PLAN FOR AFAM V and VI POWER Plant.
 Monitor implementation by line managers of Company’s HSE Management System.
 Liaise with end-clients on HS&E matters to ensure that Management System procedures address both operational risks and end-client requirements.
 Develop systems for the management and promotion of the various types of risk assessments, which may be required for Group operations, and to undertake such risk assessments as required.
 Develop and maintain systems for the recording and follow-up of lessons learned from incidents, risk assessments or similar.
 Develop and implement site specific Emergency Response Plans such as emergency evacuation, MER, fire fighting and rescue, etc
 Conversant with and implementation of OSHA, NIOSH, IOSH and NEBOSH Regulations like Organise of Toolbox Meeting, Preparation of Job Hazard Analysis and Sign of Permit to Work (PTW) Document for the appropriate jobs etc.
 Adopt state of the art approach in applying HSE Regulations and Procedures for Power Plants Operations.
 Application of Federal, State and Local Regulations as it concerns HSE to Power Plant Operations.
 Recommend methods for minimizing HSE risk.
 Supervise contractors/vendors to ensure they compliance with STEAG`s HSE Management System regulations, i.e. for spill clean up, asbestos abatement, etc.
 Ensure HSE monitoring equipment is maintained in good working condition and calibrated as per manufacturer, State, and Federal requirements. Co-ordinate performance testing.
 Assist regulatory personnel during site inspections.
 Maintain emergency/safety equipment in good technical condition and perform inspections of the equipment.
 Implement corporate policies and procedures and provide recommendations for changes as necessary condition and perform inspections of the equipment
