Overseeing and managing effective business processes from end to end including but not limited to the following.
• Leading the Wald Energy team by organizing, motivating, and inspiring the team to effectively execute to the best of their abilities in pursuit of Wald Energy’s vision and mission.
• Consistently review Wald Energy strategies and ensure alignment with Wald Energy strategies and achievement of Wald Energy’s Profitability, Market share and Brand Equity targets.
• Manage team’s talent through training, job assignments and appraisal feedback in order to consistently create value to the expectation of our customers.
• Providing the necessary sales and technical support to the Wald Energy team to facilitate timely and efficient delivery of products and services to the expectation of local and export customers and in accordance with company processes and procedures.
• Assist in overseeing and coordinating supply planning function through ongoing liaison with sales and marketing, supply planning and logistics function, focus on optimizing product supply.
• Responsible for implementation, execution, and compliance with operational excellence indices, HSEQ as well as security.
• Ensure that areas of underperformance are quickly addressed and rectified.
• Support staff in developing excellent relationships with key third parties, distributors, customers, suppliers, regulators, and the local authorities.
Primary Responsibilities include
Overseeing and managing effective commercial business processes (white fuels) from end to end including but not limited to the following;
•Formulating and implementing public relations, branding and customer service strategy that will portray a good image of the company at all times and enhance customer service standards.
•Lead the development and implementation of the Company’s commercial strategy ensuring alignment to the overall business plan to sustain business growth and profitability.
•Understand the value drivers of the business and identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
•Analyze potential opportunities and develop business plans/recommendations (including all associated risks, costs and forecasted revenue), to ensure that all business development opportunities are optimized.
•Monitor the business, sales and activity plans in line with the approved budget.
•Monitor competitor activities for competitive advantage.
• Accountable for market analysis, brand support and positioning.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risk across all areas of the business.
• Contribute to the development of new products and services, providing leadership in sales and product portfolio extension or reduction to meet profitability targets.
• Represent the Company in dealing with clients and other external stakeholders on all commercial matters.
• Lead the team to achieve customer retention by providing efficient customer service.
•Handle customer service human resource tasks by interviewing, selecting, orienting and training the sales team to provide good customer service and smooth business operations
• Provide leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of staff to ensure targets are achieved.
•Engage, develop, deploy and retain talented staff including completing performance appraisals and personal development effectively and on time in accordance with the established performance management system.
•Grow the revenues of the business and manage profitability and lead and manage business activities in order to maximize the Company’s financial resources.
•Develop, implement and monitor the sales and marketing (income and expenditure) budget to ensure it is within approved limits.
• Ensure that the Company maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility wherever it does business
• Ensure safe and proper custody and maintenance of company assets at the consumer outlets
•Periodic general customer visits for follow up and check in on any concerns
Nyanza Region
Primary Responsibilities:
•Productivity and Target.
-Responsible for achieving and growing monthly targets through growing Distributors and Wholesalers sales relationship.
•Team Leader.
-Lead, Train and Mentor Sales Representative, Merchandiser and Brand Ambassadors on selling skills, Product knowledge and Market Cover coverage.
•Lead Generation:
-Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients extra.
-Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
-Be in the field visiting new clients and closing sales
-Visiting existing clients in your respective allocated area and increasing their sales Market Research.
-Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
•Communication
-Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses etc. to keep customers informed.
-Communicate constantly with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide on-going support.
-Recommend products to customers based on customers’ needs and interests.
•Reporting:
-Directly reporting to the Operational Director in sales and marketing.
-Submitting Daily sales report and Feedback to the office.
-Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and markets.
•Customer Relationship Management.
-Maintain good relationship with Distributor, close relationship with retailers and sales team.
•Collections:
-Ensure customer collections are being done regularly and they are in control - not to overlook the customers’ accounts are adhered to and stakeholder relationships are managed pro-actively and professionally.
. Nyanza and Western Region
Key Responsibilities:
•Coordinate sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information
•Ensure the adequacy of sales-related equipment or material
•Respond to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested
•Handle the processing of all orders with accuracy and timeliness
•Inform clients of unforeseen delays or problems
•Monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements
•Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events
•Manage merchandising team in terms of timings, conduct and achievements of target
•Recruiting, Training and supervising merchandisers in S. Nyanza and Western regions
•Continuous assessment of merchandisers to ensure they perform their duties with integrity
•Key chains i.e. Nakumatt, Naivas, and Tuskys
sales volume objectives as per targets; Monthly, Quarterly and Annually.
•Debt collection - ensure all account receivables are collected at agreed time.
•Ensure Del Monte product availability in all target outlets in the assigned territory.
•Create new outlets - Monthly, Quarterly and Annually.
•Deploy trade marketing equipment; Coolers, point of sale materials and merchandising units.
•Take part in promotions
•Execute Del Monte picture of success.
•Gather own competitor intelligence and monitor current market trends and coming up with counter proposals.
•Build value based strategic relationships with Distributors.
•Lead distributor training and development modules and capacity building initiatives targeted at distributor sales teams.
