• Joined as a trainee engineer in Virgo Marine Shipyards Pvt.Ltd. Mumbai.
• Firstly was appointed as the blasting supervisor, then into the construction field looking after the material traceability and nesting.
• At present employed in the same company, i.e. Virgo Marine Shipyards as a Naval Architect handling the construction of a Hopper barge for DCI (Dredging Corporation of India).
Construction & Delivery of the vessel should be done within the period of 15 months.
Completed & erected the blocks within 9 months till MAIN DECK, work is under
Progress.
• The vessel is being constructed by erecting units of small sizes, so after erection it is necessary to align the same by implementing some common yard practices like, plum - bob measurements and water levelling the units to get a balanced reading.
• The weight of the units is set to a maximum of 40 tonnes since the capacity of the crane in yard is only 40 tonnes.
• Before the class surveyor, the compartments or the blocks erected are inspected by the engineer assigned; the reports are made for the same and handed over to the QC department.
• Now handling a new project of a Split hopper barge for DCI (Dredging Corporation of India, Vizag).Cargo hold area of the same has been constructed till main deck (290 tons), Aft & Forward part remains to be constructed. Construction of the project is going as per the Schedule.
