• Redesigning the existing covered warehouses & designed new one including temperature controlled one for storage of critical equipment/s.
• Re designed the lay down area covering 1 million Sq Meters for optimum utilization & ease of operation.

Developing the site location where the project stores will be located.
. Supervising the infrastructure development of the of the lay down yard & the warehouse at the site. Bifurcating the 56000 Sq Mtr of Laydown area into various sections of different size for storage of Bulk material like Steel, Piping, Valves, Electrical material/Equipment, Instrumentation material/ Equipment, Package items, fittings, flanges amongst many.
. Devising the system & methodology of storage of the material.
. Designing interior of the warehouse, racking & the Binning system for the storage of the material.
. Updating the construction manager on material status on daily basis.
. Administering the SAP (Material Management Module) for material receipt, Issue, Transfer, Damage & Shortages.
. Material Tracking & Truck Tracking using the module in SAP.
. Taking care of material certification & inspection by QA/QC as well as the IBR Inspector
. Implementing the companies HSE policies at the project stores.
. Responsible for the maintenance of all the equipment like Crane, Cherry Picker & Fork Lift.
. Managing a staff of over 30 people including 4 store officers, Supervisors, Riggers & foremen.
. Monitoring the day to day usage of SAP.
· Looked after all material control and incoming material inspections at the 380 MW combined cycle power plant of Glow Power, Thailand’s largest private power company.
· Was responsible for the receipt inspection, storage, documentation and issue of project materials like Steam and Gas Turbines accessories and parts, Pipe Spools, Pipe Supports, Insulation Material, Electrical Material, Fire Fighting Material, Motors and Pumps ensuring accuracy of records and logistics.
· Maintained 100% safety record in all material handling activities.
· Assisted in the strategic sourcing and vendor selection from domestic and international sources for material like Steel, Pipes (Carbon, Stainless & Alloy steel), Flanges, Fittings, Gaskets, Stud/bolts, Vessels, Instrumentation bulk material, Cables power as well as instrumentation. Cable Trays, Refractory and Catalysts for the Jamnagar Export Refinery project.
· Looked after receipt, inspection, documentation, storage and issue of material for the execution of the EPC project at RPL for the construction of the sulphur recovery and tail gas units.
· Led a team of 25 in executing all material handling responsibilities for successful completion of the project.
· Liaised with Boiler Directorate authorities for inspection and clearance of material requiring IBR approval.
· Managed the reconciliation and removal of surplus material including re-export adhering to all regulations.
· Assisted in the strategic sourcing and vendor selection from domestic and international sources for material like Steel, Pipes (Carbon, Stainless & Alloy steel), Flanges, Fittings, Gaskets, Stud/bolts, Vessels, Instrumentation bulk material, Cables power as well as instrumentation. · Provided consultancy services in the areas of business development, operations, procurement, merchandizing, sourcing, inventory control, recruitment and training and software development to clients in USA.
· Major projects handled include
· Assisted Sypram Technologies LLC New Jersey in business development for their retail management solutions using cutting edge technologies covering point of sales (POS), purchase, inventory control, bar coding and remote surveillance. Looked after marketing and sales, installation and testing and training of customer personnel. Some of the customers were Koorani Enterprises, a Pizza Hut franchisee; Zuby investments operating 17 convenience stores at the gas stations of BP Chevron in Atlanta SC USA and Rima International operating 33 convenience stores at BP Chevron gas stations in Texas, Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee.
· Supported Novatel New Jersey, a company offering VoIP and wireless internet services in liaising with key accounts in India, negotiations with VSNL to set up a server at Gandhinagar to carry voice mails originating and terminating in India and conducting a feasibility study for setting up an intranet and mobile network at the Secretariat at Gandhinagar.
· Assisted a client in conceptualizing, designing and partially developing a security software package with applications control and issue of passports, national identity cards and voter identity cards.
· Worked with a company engaged in developing web portals, providing technical manpower and training in matters related to clearing H1B visa formalities and training of new recruits from India in soft skills needed to work successfully in the USA. Assisted in building relationships with clients like T.I.S Worldwide, Butler International and Design Strategy to meet their staffing needs and achieved revenues of US$125, 000 selling web portal concepts between January-May 2000.
Into Automobile Business, the company had parts dealership of Hindustan Motors Ltd. & Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Sales and Service of Lohia Machines Ltd, for their range of scooters.

· Coordinating with principals for placement of parts order and VOR orders.
· Networking with after market/O.E.M’s to procure the parts in short supply.
· Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop & manning over 50 employees.
· Rendered a significant contribution in acquiring the Mahindra & Mahindra parts dealership in 1991-92.
· Coordinated with Office of the Director of Employment and Training, Government of Gujarat to provide hands on training at our workshop to their students.
· Networked with Staff Training College, Government of Gujarat to conduct training twice a year for the Deputy engineers (mechanical) for their refresher course.
· Introduced the concept of floating assemblies and service engines to render prompt and efficient services to the clients. The management immensely appreciated this effort.
