Primarily responsible for arranging inbound of all products from various origins and ensure products are made available in the stores through their 3PL managed warehouse.
Key Result Areas:
•Supplier Management - Liaising with the suppliers from various origins (mostly from China and the Europe) and ensure timely receipt of products in Dubai
•Logistics Coordination - Effective coordination and follow-up of logistics requirements from Stores, Buyers, DC, 3PL and all service providers
•Customs Documentation - Ensure proper documentation for import / export relevant to various origins/destinations
•Freight Management - Negotiate inbound freight rates for all shipments and orchestrate pick up from the origins. Reconcile freight invoices against the agreed rates and coordinate with finance for payment
•Cost Management - Continuous cost saving measures by planning and consolidating inbound/outbound loads and maximizing truck utilization
•Returns Management - Cost efficient way of managing returns
•Approvals from Authorities - Processing various approvals required for various products and their registration with the local authorities like Dubai Municipality, ESMA (Emirates Authority For Standardization and Metrology), Dubai Economic Department and Dubai Customs
•Dispute Resolution - Responsible for resolving disputes as and when they arise
•Reporting - Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly performance reports to track stock and costs throughout the supply chain.
•Order fulfillment - manage timely delivery and in full of orders from the outlets
Was responsible to manage the day to day operations within the Logistics Operations or supporting facility, as required from time to time to ensure best business practice with regards to the activity of receiving, checking, storage, picking, packing, stock control activities, kitting & bundling and any other VAS within the set parameters of the logistics & supply chain process. To ensure that all health, safety and environmental policies are adhered to, inclusive that security services and expectations is operative and in place at all times. Ensure that the key supervisory responsibilities is carried out in a timely, reliable and cost effective manner and utilize all resources optimally and to their full potential and build positive relationships with internal & external clients and 3PL parties..
Key Result Areas:
•Organize and direct operations work flow and job responsibilities within the logistics facility to ensure effective and quality management of the receipt, storage, picking, packing, loading, distribution and shipping of products to customers in best reduced lead time and quality being key throughout the process and maximize staff output and utilization.
•Maintain correct and accurate records of inventory and location storage quantities and cost control to ensure alignment is maintained and kept consistent within the day to day warehouse and distribution activities.
•Conduct and manage weekly inventory cycle counts to maintain stock integrity and through this, ensure that financial stock takes and stock counts are conducted according to NTDE and INL contractual requirements and agreement.
•Co-ordinate with internal customs department to ensure custom clearance procedures are compiled and legal requirements are met accordingly to customs law.
•Develop good relationships with customer to ensure high customer service level is maintained at all times and ensure that processes & procedures are followed and adhered to in that clients expectations are met and exceeded.
•Compiling statistics and performance reports, KPIs, analyses non-conformities, and initiates and implements corrective actions/improvement plans.
•Optimum use of resources available to target and maintain company established KPIs at high level and ensure in line and consistent with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
•Pro-active preparation and implementation of continuous improvement plans and initiates innovative solutions to increase productivity and quality of service to customers.
•Manage and troubleshoot problems with WMS to ensure the operations in the logistics centers flow continuously to maintain consistency to ensure systems stability and functionality at all times.
•Ensure that Security QHSE policies and procedures is functional and any deviations to be actioned and reported immediately to ensure that quality standards & requirements in the distribution center remains of a high standard.
•5S implementation & audit, Continuous Improvement and Lean.
•Ensure a high standard of housekeeping at all times by subcontractor and staff itself, with inspections conducted at least twice a day.
•Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment to be in good working order and daily MHE check lists is maintained and signed on a daily basis.
•Ensures that all staff report to work in issued PPE clothing without fail.
•Constantly & strategically look at procedures & operations in order to improve and maximize customer satisfaction through cooperation with other departments and third party transporters.
•Manage staff time and attendance, inclusive of overtime worked with tight disciplines in place.
•Optimize individual employee performance through effective leadership, coaching, development & training, motivating staff and creating opportunities for future growth.
•Supervise the Load and unload trucks delivering and/or picking up cargo and ensure vehicles or containers are in good condition and of high standard.
•Ensures optimal supplier including sub-contractor (trucking) selection with regards to price/quality by vendor rating. Maintains relationships with these vendors and pushes them to continuous improvements within a partnership.
•Ensures the Logistics facility is maintained at high level and be seen as a showcase at which customers / visitors can be received and inspect at any time.
•Ensure that the warehouse is secure and that all MHE equipment stowed in their correct areas or in battery charge room before leaving the warehouse at COB each day.
Was responsible for end to end logistics & distribution activities.
Key Result Areas:
•Entering PO Stock / Drop shipment & OC in SAP Module.
•Follow up with vendor for order acknowledgement and promise date once the PO is released.
•Responsible for regular follow ups & Tracking all shipments from the place of origin to destination and resolve problems concerning transportation and logistics system.
•Purchasing and bringing in the inventory timely according to customers’ requirements (indent) and as per inventory planning.
•Coordinating with the Vendors for obtaining quotations, Vendor & Supplier Bill compilations & certifications for payments. Coordinating with our Finance team for vendor payments.
•Global Contract agreement with new Vendors & maintain the records books. Pending payments & bills issues coordination with Tyco Group & other vendors too.
•Conducting monthly & quarterly physical stock audit @ warehouse.
•Extracting various reports from SAP and from Warehouse for monthly & quarterly analysis.
•Negotiate with suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
