Responsibilities & Duties
• Business administration and development with special attention to analyzing new business avenues and making recommendations to the board of directors on organizational preparedness to take up forthcoming challenges.
• Overlooking the estimation and tendering process.
• Monitoring, guiding and coordinating project managers and ensures operations are managed properly and cost effectively. Overlooked overall operations management including planning, scheduling and following up of several projects simultaneously.
• Managing the sub contractors.
• Preparation of sales budgets, cash flow forecasts and deploying the team of engineers to achieve the targets set.
• Setting up of profit targets for each project and overseeing the management of project with special attention to cost controlling.

Petroleum Industry:
• Construction of floating roof type and fixed roof type Fuel Storage Tanks for Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation (CPC) and Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL)

• Repairs to the Fuel Storage Tanks for the above organizations.

Irrigation Sector
• Remedial Works of reservoirs under World Bank funded Dam Safety Project.
Scope of each project contains rehabilitation of irrigation structures such a radial gates, mechanical installations, civil works and Electrical works.
• Fabrication and Installation of 74 Nos. of sluice gates and 6 Nos. of radial gates for various anicuts under Hambanthota Irrigation Rehabilitation Project.
• Remedial works to the stop logs and the radial gates of Randenigala Reservoir.

Detailing design drawings to the contractor and preperation of
fabrication drawings and installation drawings.
Monitoring the progress, quality of the workmanship and quality of the materials supplied by the contractor.
Checking the accuracy of the Progress Bill submitted by the contractor and making joint measurements with the contractor and recomending the bill for certifying.

•Carrying out preventive maintenance of extruding and breading machines and preperation of maintenance schedules.
•Attending to breakdown repairs. Advising main stores on spare part stocks.
•Looking after the administrative works of the maintenance crew.
•Maintaining machine downtime due to breakdowns at the minimum levels.
