Supporting global finance teams based in Australia, Italy, and Luxembourg, who are using Sage ERP 300 system and internally developed various legacy systems.
Working closely with Commercial Team on uploading monthly forecasts and budget data in to ERP system in multi-currency and roll-up verified data to regional and global consolidation ledgers for financial comparison reporting.
Partaking in weekly and monthly finance and business systems agile stand-ups to plan system improvements, new roll-outs, and discuss outstanding issues.
Identifying areas to be improved, documenting requirements, system configuration, implementation and providing training and support.
Developing analytical reports and financial reports using Crystal and FR report designer.
Managing and monitoring business critical month end tasks such as billing runs, revenue recognition, GL consolidation processes across multiple regions.
Documenting various legacy processes and functionality that have been developed around the ERP system and educating business systems team.
Liaising with third party vendors and internal team of Business Analysts, QA’s and Software Developers on new implementations, post incidents reviews and support.
SAP project planning, initiation, execution and management in tune with the core business objectives.
Manage project scope, monitor project progress to ensure projects are completed within the estimated time and cost parameters. Manage scope creep by consulting with process owners and steering committee. Draw up plans to address, scope creeps depending on their severity and importance.
Maintain issue logs for projects and ensure that all the issues are addressed and discussed before signing off the project.
Perform project status reporting and send updates top management and other stakeholders.
Liaise with SAP implementation partners, and 3rd party ICT vendors to ensure successful completion of implementation and roll-out projects.
Managed team of SAP consultants on day to day basis.
SIGNIFICANT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Was involved in 3 full cycle of SAP implementations as a SAP SD Consultant
- 9 SAP roll-outs as a SAP Project Manager (Middle East and Africa)
- Ability to articulate end to end supply chain process in SAP (MM-SD-FI)
Was responsible for Sage ERP 300 (Sage Accpac) project management, and mentoring junior consultants using my know how on ERP implementation.
Devise implementation plans, define and agree on project scope and schedule. Assign resources according to module / product knowledge and assist budding consultant on system analysis, documentation of business processes, system configuration and testing.
When involved in implementations and support, always attempt to consider multiple perspectives of possible solutions and ramifications and develop plans that address both current and likely future requirements.
Plan and execute master data migration (such as chart of accounts, customer and vendor master, inventory/material master, fixed assets and equipment master data), and transaction history / opening balance migration from legacy systems to ERP system.
Support existing customer base on day to day queries, helping them to start using specific functions and modules that are not in use or not implemented previously. Clearing out past and on-going support issues.
Work closely with client care manager and team of technical and functional consultants.

Worked as the supply chain system expert by analysing and understanding business requirements, mapping business/user requirements to SAP ERP system.
Analysing existing business practices, procedures and re-engineering them to align with best business practices available in SAP system. Propose and demonstrate solutions using prototypes.
Preparing “AS IS” and “TO BE” processes, GAP analysis documents, propose handling gaps using workaround or custom developments using user exits.
Preparing Business Blue Print, including functional specifications for custom functions/user exits and reports. Follow up with process owners on blue print sign off.
SAP SD and MM SPRO customization and work with FI consultant on integration points. Testing the configurations on development environment before transporting them to quality environment.
Work with team of ABAP developers on developing, testing, and delivering custom functions that integrates with SAP system.
Draw up unit and integration test cases and scenarios. Carry out unit testing and integration testing with core users.
Create end user training manuals and impart user training.
Create detailed cut over plans, work on master data and opening balance data migration as part of cut over activities.
Carry out post implementation review, record lessons learned for future reference, conduct refresh training courses and workshops.
Business Partners / Reseller management in UAE, Oman, Lebanon, Sudan, and Turkey.
Get involved in understanding customer business requirements, drawing up ERP proposals and solution presentations to prospective customers.
Work as the expert consultant in system implementation, taking responsibility in ensuring that best functional solutions are proposed to the prospects.
Support business partners on presale product demonstrations, and Sage module selection based on customer requirements, assist business partners in answering RFPs.
Time to time take up direct ERP project management and execution for some of the key regional customers.
