2.5 MTPA Blast Furnace, New Stream Expansion) (Quality Assurance & Control)
Accountabilities
•Performing inspection and quality control of raw materials for fabrication, fabricated Technological & Technological Building Structure, which includes: verification raw material & filler wire with MTC/ QAP/ITP, fit-up inspection, welding inspection, cleaning & painting inspection.
•Witnessing PT, MPT, RT, UT, sand blasting, DFT checking and identifying areas for those, preparing and reviewing reports accordingly.
•Identifying and rectifying defects if any and recommending for retest/reshoot.
•Performing Welder Performance Qualification along with preparing WPS, PQR for fabrication work, studying and understanding various drawings.
•Witnessing erection of columns, beam, roof-leg & truss, BF & HBS shell, GCP, hopper, ESP and conveyor gallery.
•Coordinating with Site Engineers, Sub-Contractor, NDT - DT Agencies, Client (ISP - Burnpur) and consultant (MECON)
Quality Assurance & Quality Control Department)
Accountabilities
•Performing raw material inspection and in process quality control at different operating stage (e.g. Cutting, Grooving, Forming, Sizing, Thread rolling & Tapping).
•Conducting Cause & Effect analysis and taking preventive & corrective measures if requires.
•Performing, SQC, and Internal Auditing, involving proactively KAIZEN activities & “5-S” plan of the organization.
•Acquiring knowledge on ISO: 9001: 2000 QMS, auditing process of UL & CSA, maintained records.
Highlights
•Proficiently reduced scrap/rejection within 2%, which was previously averaging at 2.5% and thereby achieved a trip to Sanghai for Inspection & Technical discussion at suppliers end in 2007
