A. PURCHASING
1. Canvassing of latest saleable items or products from the competitive chain stores.
2. Observes competitive prices from other stores and report them to the purchasing department or to concern.
3. Suggests ideas observed in other department stores/ companies that may possibly be adopted for the goodness of the company.
4. Observes saleable items or stocks and immediately repeat ordering.
5. Quickly returns unsaleable stocks to the suppliers and replace or ask latest
saleable items or products.
6. Accept offers in visiting showrooms especially when product trading and competition displays.
7. Being aware of the OTB-Open To Buy Method.
B. STORE SUPERVISOR /DUTY MANGER
. Supervise store employees with their work
. Disseminate tasks and orders to employees
. Check the flow of the store from time to time.
. Check the products before the opening and closing of the store
. Encode the delivered or ordered materials or products
DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPERVISOR
I. MONITORING AND SUPERVISING DAILY SALES
1. Check and balance all invoices incoming and outgoing
2. Maintaining saleable items for re-ordering
3. Supervise the staff in every areas concern
4. Supervise in displaying; especially in “Reduced To Clear Items”
5. Supervise and check expired products on the shelves; remove and place them on designated areas as required.
6. Keep on monitoring prices with the competitive stores
7. Supervise in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the areas concern.
II. PREPARING INVENTORY STOCKCOUNTS
1. Preparation of Inventory Plan for the shop floor and warehouse and other existing places.
2. Filling and labeling stickers for such products and designated locations.
3. Reconciling inventory results after stock counts with the auditors assigned for.
