Design and Implementation of a Smart Home Automation System, Project Objectives: Design and implement a central control unit (CCU) using a microcontroller or a single-board computer like Raspberry Pi. Integrate various sensors and actuators to the CCU, such as motion sensors, temperature sensors, light sensors, relays, and wireless communication modules (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or ZigBee). Develop software and algorithms for the CCU to process sensor data, execute control logic, and communicate with connected devices and appliances. Create a user interface (UI) for monitoring and controlling the smart home system, either through a desktop application, web interface, or a mobile app. Implement automation rules and schedules based on user preferences, sensor data, and environmental conditions (e.g., turning on lights when motion is detected, adjusting temperature based on occupancy, and scheduling appliances to operate during off-peak hours). Incorporate security features, such as access control, authentication, and data encryption, to ensure the system's integrity and privacy. Test and validate the system's functionality, reliability, and user experience through extensive testing and debugging.
