Handle import, export and offshore shipments by air and sea
* Track shipments' movement (ETD and ETA) to determine the shipment status and on time delivery
* Decide the shipping methods and incoterms that should be used.
* Handle Custom Clearance in Lebanon and Coordinate with Clearing Team in Nigeria.
* Communicate with suppliers, forwarders, agents and consignee.
* Review and confirm draft shipping documents
* Review and confirm the labels matches NAFDAC Requirements
* Negotiate rates with logistics/shipping companies and freight forwarders to fetch best prices in the market
and work toward cost-effectiveness as well as time saving.
* Coordinate with procurement officers and other departments to ensure timely order placement of the needed
goods.
* Manage monthly freight cost reporting processes.
* Prepare updated shipment reports for head of supply chain department
Post daily accounting transactions (Journal and Payment Voucher)
* Suppliers' and Banks' Account Reconciliation
* Prepare all payments by transfers, checks, cash, and bankers' checks.
* Assist in quarterly Tax Reporting and declarations and Yearly Closings.
* Prepare the documents required to request for bank credit, follow up on the credit activation
after issuance and review its balances (for letters of credit & letters of guarantee/ loans).
* Prepare the documents required for tenders ( bid bonds, performance bonds, advanced
payments guarantees)
* Prepare letters of credit openings
* Record & Update customers' payments on regular basis
* Communicate with customers and get payment for overdue invoice

and inspection certificates).
* Negotiate rates with logistics/shipping companies and freight forwarders to fetch best prices in the
market and work toward cost-effectiveness as well as time saving.
* Coordinate with procurement officers and other departments to ensure timely order placement of the
needed goods.
* Manage monthly freight cost reporting processes.
* Fleet management
* Plan and book for business itinerary (visa applications, hotel reservations and ticket issuance)
* Prepare updated shipment reports for executives and clients.

* Hiring, training and maintaining a proactive, efficient, professional and friendly staff to

* Schedule staff to provide appropriate coverage within the limitations provided by

* Hold regularly scheduled department meetings for ongoing training and sharing of
information.
* Determine and order supplies as needed upon management approval.
* Notify Housekeeping and Maintenance of any related concerns and follow-up so needs are
addressed quickly.
