I act as a finance controller and lead the USGAAP and IGAAP financial reporting for the company, ensuring timely and accurate closure of books of accounts, preparation of MIS and board presentations, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasts & reforecasts, and liaison with auditors and regulators. I also support in legal and tax filings, IT returns, and process transformation.
Profile: North America Regional Controller
1) Monthly/Quarterly/Annual closure of books of account.
2) It includes monthly calendar circulation, discussion with cross functional teams for the accounting requirement, accrual formats and improvement of standard narration and open purchase order analysis.
3) Accrual accounting for accurate financials.
4) Payroll & Prepaid Accounting.
5) Preparation of monthly profit & loss account and variance analysis reporting to the management.
6) Preparation of Balance sheet and schedules and reporting of the same to the management.
7) Open item clearing of all General Ledger accounts in SAP to maintain Hygiene of books of account.
8) Foreign exchange revaluation and analysis of Foreign exchange gain/(loss).
9) Bank Reconciliation - Preparation of bank reconciliation in SAP on daily basis to ensure all open items are genuine.
10) Preparation of monthly Inter-company reconciliations to ensure complete and correct accounting in all entities.
11) Presentation of the quarterly financials to the Board of Directors.
12) Support in Income Tax returns filling, Transfer pricing return & other survey filling in US & Canada.
13) Issue of Debit notes for all Inter-company transactions and ensuring regular settlement.
14) Liaison with Statutory Auditors and SOX Audit for quarterly and annual audits, proving audit requirement in time lines and resolving all queries of the auditors.
15) Regularly participates in projects or activities as a contributing team member. Assists supervisor to identify important issues or risks and providing feedback for improvement/changes in methods & techniques.
16) Working knowledge of SAP. Supported entity creation in SAP & standardized various reports from SAP.
1) Allocation of the Budget cost in consultation with internal users.
2) Allocation of actual shared unit cost and estimated forecast cost for the remaining period.
3) Monthly tracking of actual performance with the budget / forecast and reporting the same to function head's and Management.
4) Partnering the business team to maintain a strong awareness on the movement of the actuals to enable development of next years budget.
5) Supporting the function head's in product pricing.
