Haji Abdullah Alireza & Company (HAACO) acquired part of the water business of SETE Energy Saudia along with 130 personnel of SETE in January 2013. Presently I am working as Sr. Process Engineer providing engineering support for O&M of water treatment plants and new BOOT tenders. I am also involved in the tenders preparation of GE medium speed diesel generators and auxiliaries.

Project: 48, 000 M3/D INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - MARAFIQ YANBU (IWTP-II)
Reviewed process design, issued RFQs to equipment vendors and evaluation of vendors’ proposals during the tender stage. Worked as Sr. Process and Project Engineer during the detailed engineering and project execution stage. Attended design review meetings with JACOBS/MARAFIQ in Saudi Arabia and visited Foster Wheeler (Engineering partner) offices in Milan (Italy) from February 2010 to November 2010 to perform engineering coordination and finalization of P&IDs & other design documents. I was also involved in developing the plant operation philosophy and control logics in collaboration with Foster Wheeler. Participated in the HAZOP study and was in charge of closing out the HAZOP recommendations. Participated in the DCS design review, Pre-FAT and FAT in Emerson offices Dubai to elaborate the operation philosophy of overall plant as well as individual packages. I was also responsible for the engineering coordination of the following packages ensuring that these packages are delivered compliant with the contractual requirements, RC Standards and within the budget and time schedule:
- Dissolved Air Floatation Units (De-oiling)
- Dissolved Air Floatation Units (Biological)
- Chlorine Gas Injection System
- Polyelectrolyte Preparation and Dosing Packages
- Tertiary and Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Filtration Systems
- Exhausted GAC removal and fresh GAC filling systems

Project: 55, 000 M3/D INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - MARAFIQ JUBAIL (IWTP-8)
Reviewed process design, issued RFQs to equipment vendors and evaluation of vendors’ proposals during the tender stage. Worked as Sr. Process Engineer during the detailed engineering stage with the following responsibilities:
- Process design review and finalization of P&IDs
- Prepared specifications and control philosophy of tertiary & Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Filtration Systems
- Prepared specifications of Chlorine gas injection system
- Engineering coordination of Secondary Dissolved Air Floatation Units

Project: 3 X 8, 400 M3/D BRACKISH WATER REVERSE OSMOSIS DESALINATION PROJECT - MARAFIQ YANBU
Worked as Sr. Process and Proposal Engineer during the tender preparation of this project which was awarded to SETE. My job responsibilities included the following:
- Process Design, engineering and cost estimation
- Preparation of P&IDs and PFD
- Equipment sizing, specifications and selection
- Preparation of Technical Submittal

Project: 35, 000 M3/D BOOT SEAWATER REVERSE OSMOSIS DESALINATION PROJECT - KING ABDUL AZIZ INT’L AIRPORT, JEDDAH
Participated in this project from the tender submission stage up to the completion of EPC work. Job responsibilities included the following:
- Engineering coordination of Reverse Osmosis system, Electrochlorination system, chlorine gas injection system, CO2 Production Plant and chemical dosing packages
- Prepared an evaluation report on the condition of the existing Lime and CO2 storage facilities
- Designing of Limewater Injection System for water Potabilization, e.g., lime powder storage and pneumatic transfer system, lime water preparation and dosing equipment etc.
- Technical evaluation of Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report
- Developed method statement on the Tie-in points between the existing and new facilities
- Technical and commercial evaluation of vendors’ proposals
- Preparation of PFDs, P&IDs and Process Calculations
