To budget for the workshop division in the company in terms of finance for current year.
To set up and monitor KPI goals in terms of safety, training, quality, reworks, ideal time lost and customer complains.
Timely visit to most of the clients for improving business relation and for customer feedback.
Pre planning for operations and estimates of Carrying out major refit and shutdown projects in workshop. Eg. Vessel refit, refinery, cement factories, etc.
Preparing projects documentation including planning, inspection, progress, spares parts, work completion etc.
Job inspection onsite and Prepare preliminary estimate for all the forthcoming jobs in workshop.
All incoming jobs to be evaluated in visual for initial repair scope, review all final inspection report.
Interacting with client on report based clarification and justification of repairs required and cost associated with the same.
Coordinating with team members for vessel trafficking for timely attendance, collection and delivery of repaired components.
Monitoring scope of work project based, man-hours, material, time for completion of job to achieve the estimated GP.
Continuous improvement in work procedure to improve safety and environmental pollution by minimize consumption of consumable and by implementing proper waste segregation for all departments.
Facing internal and external audits for ISO and DNV certification.
Work shop activity included the following shops responsibility as per job description mentioned below in coordination with supervisors and foreman for job completion on time and with quality assured.
Mechanical shop and machine shop
Project planning of vessel refit projects repair work in workshop, job includes main engine overhaul and all other engine components such as reconditioning / repair of all types of pumps, coolers, filters, valves, electric motors / generators, compressors, blowers, \[propeller shafts, propellers, bearings\].
Major repair, overhauling and reconditioning of cargo pump turbines.
Overhauling and reconditioning of drive gearboxes, windlass and winches.
O/H and reconditioning of all types of pumps including centrifugal, screw, gear pumps etc.
Overhauling and reconditioning of plate cooler for Alfa Laval, funke etc. and reconditioning of purifier bowls sub assemblies.
Reconditioning of silicon based vibration dampers.
Major overhauling of OEM represented Niigata engines, clutches and z-peller transmissions.
Inspection and reconditioning of main engine components for Major overhaul and reconditioning repairs for B&W, MITSUBHISHI, WARTSILA, SULZER Engines, components such Cylinder cover, valve spindle. Valve seat, valve housing, actuator, piston crown, piston skirt, piston rod, stuffing box, main bearings, etc as per the OEM standards.

Joined as a trainee engine in the maintenance department and was under the automotive section. Within 6 month was incharge of the automotive section to put back all the earthmoving machinery like forklift and cranes on track and in the best running condition. Last 3 years of my tenure with WISL I was promoted to maintenance incharce for the shipyard.

Testing of all overhead lifting equipments and pressure vessel as per Factories Safety Act standards.
