Handling 53 staff per shift
Dealing with all major shipping lines
Reporting to Senior Line Manager
 Manages the daily operations according to the agreed operating principles of the business & relationship with customers and stakeholders.
 Directs activities of port staff engaged in stevedoring, gate operations, yard operations, vessel planning and general cargo.
 Execute strategies for the operations of the facility, within the borders of business plan and budget.
 Ensures the strong performance management and coaching to stevedores and appointed 3rd party workforces
 Support targeted operations initiatives to help drive efficiency improvements using continuous improvement tools and methodology
 Ensures safety, health and environmental standards are met throughout the operation.
 Ensures that all employees in the operations are trained in best operation practices with regards to advanced operations strategies and new technology.
 Assist in monitoring, improving systems and procedures across the port through proper planning to determine manpower and equipment to meet requirements and minimize labor costs
