My research is on Constraints on Lexical Borrowing. Lexical words are borrowed from one language to another. I am interested in certain words which are not easily borrowed from L1 to L2. What motivates the speaker to use other languages words? Do speakers consciously borrow or use words from other languages? I investigate in Morphological, Syntactic and Semantic levels.
