Develops adequate policies, procedures and processes for the Finance function to maintain efficient operational excellence in order to achieve MEFSCO overall strategic objectives.
Contributes to MEFSCO's overall strategy development and implementation.
Contributes to the achievement of MEFSCO's objectives through timely and effective financial counseling to the General Manager.
Reviews trial balance to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and in accordance to the accounting rules and principles.
Manages general accounting, annual financial statement audits, internal and external financial/ statistical reporting, and zakat reporting functions, as well as indirectly overseeing clients' accounting, revenue cycle, payroll, and accounts payable functions
Reviews the company annual budget in line with the company strategic objectives and plans, discusses.
Tracks actual versus budget expenditures of the company and report any deviations to the General Manager.
Reviews MEFSCO financial plans, cash forecasts, reports and analytics, and submits management to support the decision making.
Liaises with the ARASCO corporate Finance function for funding requirements and arrangements.
Consolidates and periodically reports on the financial position and results of operations to the General Manager.
Oversees year-end closing process, and finalizes periodic financial statements and reports to be submitted to the General Manager
Monitors the cash, debt and liquidity position of MEFSCO
Develops executive summaries and presentations to communicate overall financial performance to the General Manager and MEFSCO Board
Advises on the financial implications of management decisions
Coordinate the company external audit with external auditors.
Ensures management accounting support MEFSCOs decisions (e.g. financial feasibility review, ad hoc management reporting, make/buy analysis, cost accounting, etc.),
Monitors the adherence of finance function employees to MEFSCO's guidelines, policies and procedures.
Ensures effective departmental performance through the selection, development, deployment and motivation of competent staff.
Developing relationships with the investment community, institutions, and high net worth individuals, to create both the deal flow and placement capacity for the Investment Banking Group (IBG);
Preparing proposals to prospective clients;
Planning projects including preparation of work plans, resource planning and mobilization, etc.;
Managing client relationships and building good rapport;
Performing financial restructuring, financial modelling, valuation, and investment opportunities analysis;
Assisting clients to appoint other advisors (Legal, Market, Technical, Accounting, PR, etc);
Managing the transaction and following-up on a regular basis with the clients and their other advisors;
Preparing and providing the clients with periodic status reports;
Drafting transactions documentations (.e.g. IPO prospectus, Valuation reports, Road-show presentation, Private placement memorandums, Teasers, etc );
Assisting clients in preparing road-show presentations and conducting institutional book building;
Assisting in submitting applications to and obtaining approvals from regulatory agencies (CMA).
