Managed overall operations of an entire shift, including 20 repair technicians and eight logistics/administration employees; organised and scheduled maintenance of in-flight entertainment systems (IFE) of top airlines, such as Emirates Airlines, Etihad Airways, Oman Air, Saudia, Gulf Air, and Qatar Airways. Arranged training and development programmes for all employees to boost knowledge and performance; Created, co authored and coordinated workflow processes, including strip own inspections, ESD work bench instructions, and repair shop procedures (Part-145) that increased operational performance; Ensured overall operations of repair shop were in compliance with airworthiness, workplace H&S and other applicable regulations; Identified and resolved potential non-compliance issues by performing root cause analysis. • Deputized on behalf of the repair shop manager as per EASA and GCAA regulations managing a staf of over 100 people.
• Oversaw the cost buster campaign for the department leading to YOY savings of over $1M (in-wty shipments, 17" touch panel & PET film replacements).
• Led the rapid deployment modifications project with a team of 10 techs and ensured successful removal and replacement of 25, 000+ smart monitors, distribution, and head-end units on Emirates Airlines.
• Facilitated internal and external repair shop audits, including customers, EASA, GCAA, that increased quality of services provided to customers. Commended by external auditors of the governing bodies.
• Provided efective contributions in the successful relocation within 24 hrs of the Part-145 organization within DAFZA.
Performed systems reviews and assured eficient delivery of spares in close collaboration with base shift manager, licensed aircraft engineers, and store supervisors; Determined material requirements, provided tooling and vendor support, and initiated follow-up action by evaluating and reviewing maintenance i/p packages. Followed best safety practices for spare parts to ensure health and safety of staf. Key Contributions:
• Implemented immediate feedback/alert system to identify and alert maintenance planning, material planning of any material or tools shortages with the goal of avoiding grounding of aircrafts.
