My role within Parallel Views real estate was as a broker selling properties within Dubai.
Using my data base of clients looking to sell their properties within Dubai, I marketed these
properties on various on-line websites where customers could view the images of the properties and make enquires and arrange viewings. The job was very hands on and demands a high level of professionalism. The job requires hard work and determination and the ability to work over and above the contracted hours and also on the weekends if required. I worked as part of a team of around 15 people, so team work and communication is of vital importance to ensure the best results for myself and the company
My role within Mi Casa real estate was as a broker selling properties within Dubai. I built up a data base of clients looking to sell their properties within Dubai and marketed these properties on various on-line websites where customers can view the images of the property and make enquires and arrange viewings. The job is very hands on and demands a high level of professionalism. The job requires hard work and determination and the ability to work over and above the contracted hours and also on the weekends if required. I worked as part of a team of around 20 people, so team work and communication was of vital importance to ensure the best results for myself and the company.
During my time in Body & Soul health club I was employed as the sports and recreation
manager. My duties within this position included being in charge of a large team of
multinational fitness trainers and life guards. Daily duties involve the overall running of the
club, recruitment, staff evaluation and development and organising and scheduling work
allocations. Other aspects of my job were arranging and organising corporate events and
private sports days, outside contracts for clubs and academies to use the clubs facilities and
the implementation of club programming and events. Monthly targeting to achieve program
revenue set out by the yearly budget.
During my time with the business, I worked as the Business advisor and the Sales consultant.
My role was to help with the feasibility study that went into the development of this company,
and the strategies required in understanding the targeted consumers that relating with the
image branding of the company and the sales related aspects to do with the business.
Leading a team of 25 people I was responsible for ensuring there efficiently in dealing with
customer calls in relation to a wide range of products available from Scottish Power.
This includes providing advice and guidance on changing utility provider and assisting with
applications for items such as cavity wall and loft insulation packages and available grants.
The position demanded good communication skills to ensure a high level of quality was
maintained throughout. The ability to organise and schedule work allocation was vital to
ensure maximum utilisation of each of my team members.
Lightbody, Hamilton. (Bakers and Confectioners)
Based in Lightbody’s main factory in Hamilton, I was responsible for various aspects of the
cake making process. My job was very hands on, physical and challenging and consisted of
stock management, various aspects of production line cake making and general factory
upkeep and cleanliness. I worked part time mainly at the weekends whilst studying and full
While attending high school and then university I worked part time working in this store within
my local shopping centre. I was responsible for all aspect from serving customers to dealing
with returns and complaints, operating the electronic till and dealing with stock deliveries and
display.
As supervisor I covered every aspect of the business from food preparation to finance. My
position consisted of dealing with the general public, over the counter service, food
preparation both public facing and back of house, working the electronic till, cashing up,
opening and closing the shop. As supervisor I managed the same tasks for a team of 5 other
people. I attained the necessary food hygiene certificates and was responsible for the levels
of cleanliness in all food handling and storage areas.
I worked after school four days a week and on holidays. Primarily dealing with the general
public, I was responsible for stock management, shop fixtures and fittings and display co-
ordination. In addition I operated the electronic till system.
