• Performing operational pre-flight/departure preparation in accordance with UAE and foreign government rules and regulations, including applicable ICAO procedures, Company Operations Manuals and Corporate Policies and Procedures.
• Developing, reviewing, authorising, issuing and revising all operational flight plans, for scheduled, non-scheduled, military, ambulance, ferry, delivery, training and test flight operations, in keeping with safety, regulatory compliance, customer service and corporate requirements.

• Analysing operational conditions, identifying limitations on operational capabilities, such as, but not limited to, weather, Notams, Nav facilities, Air Traffic Control, Air Traffic Flow, aircraft performance and MEL requirements.
• Analysing operational and meteorological conditions to determine the most efficient and safe minimum fuel requirement in support of both regulatory and corporate requirements.
• When requested, provide the Pilot-in-command with a thorough flight crew briefing, covering all significant information, which may affect his flight.
• Transmitting to Air Traffic Control directly or through an approved handling agent in the country of operation, all ICAO Flight Plan requirements.
• Initiate the Emergency Response Accident / Incident Notification Procedure, and assess and issue Flight Incident Category Reports, including the corporate notification process.
• Conducting route analysis by checking no fly zones or restricted or warning zones and also complying with each countries preferential routings and following the entry and exit points specified in the AIP’s.
• While flying to countries under EURO CONTROL review the planned route in the NOP portal to get the most optimized and validated routes.
• Obtaining curfew breaks from local airport authorities during irregular operations.
• Providing a fuel summary, flight plans and flight watch for ETOPS, test and training flights.
• Checking NAT and PATCO for daily Atlantic and Pacific routes and applying them to route planning over Pacific and Atlantic.
• In the event of an emergency, conveys by any available means, safety related information to the PIC that may be necessary for the safe conduct of the flight, including information related to any amendments to the flight plan that become necessary in the course of the flight.
• Ensure all PPS8 FP data maintenance related functions are carried out in order the all OFP’s are produced in consideration to all applicable regulatory, AIP requirements.
• Monitor on a daily basis flight plan related issues, liaise and coordinate with PPS8/ JEPP VIEW and implement remedial actions immediately.

• Prepare an operational flight plan consistent with standard instrument departures, noise abatement operational procedures, ATC regulations and the regulations of all the States to be over flown for the consideration of the pilot-in-command; Aid Captain and OCC, to delay or cancel the flight or otherwise decide on a possible route or alternative routes which may be flown safely and in accordance with Company procedures and standards, taking into account likely weather conditions at the destination and alternate aerodromes; en-route weather; and the maximum fuel load possible.
• Provide the meteorological briefing to the flight crew.
• Brief the crew on the route analysis and the operational flight plan bringing to his notice the factors that have influenced the choice of route;
