• Development, review, and update of an HSE plan & approve and verify
the implementation of the contractor's health and safety plans, method
statement and risk assessment (MSRA) and other deliverables as defined
in the expo 2020 assurance standard.
• Administer system for recording observations and lead the
implementation of the do not walk by- observe, engage, improve
‘campaign action is raised on employer's system and shall be monitored,
managed and close out in line with agreed timescales
• Ensure the implementation of Health and safety policy, health and safety
management system and the Expo 2020 assurance standard.
• Ensure construction health and safety plans are in place for each
contractor before construction begins.
• Ensures that contractor is provides adequate resources for health and
safety critical role such as appointed person and those trained in
emergency response.
• Ensure the contractor has appointed enough competent health and
safety professionals to satisfy both legal and expo requirements.
• Carry out health and safety pre-task kick-off meeting with contractor's as
per the employer's agendas and requirements.
• Attend contactor's meetings, be provided with minutes of, or chair any
meetings as required to ensure the fulfilment of the contractual
requirements.
• Provide leadership, direction, guidance, and technical assistance to the
contractors in relation to the health and safety requirements and
standard as required.
• Support the project managers and design consultant in delivering the
health and safety standards and performance.
• Ensure that all accident/incidents and near miss are reported and
investigated in accordance with the employer's protocols.
• Review and approve reports and provide technical support, guidance and
recommendations as required.
