 Manage various debt and equity transactions with a focus on project finance deals, acquisition finance, margin lending and financial advisory;
 Responsible for forming a number of syndications/club deals where AAIB assumed key roles such as Mandated Lead Arranger (MLA), Security Agent, Escrow Agent, etc.;
 Notable executed transactions include:
 Financed the acquisition of 100% of Misr Glass Manufacturing (MGM), which is specialized in the manufacturing and marketing of container glass for the food and beverage industry, by Middle East Glass (MEG) (Facility Amount of USD 40 Million);
 Completed a collateral lending transaction amounting to EGP 215 Million to finance the borrower’s investments;
 Financed a 50MW solar photovoltaic power plant under the Egyptian Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) program where AAIB assumed the role of Mandated Lead Arranger, Onshore Security Agent and Onshore Account Bank (Total Project cost estimated at USD 150 million).

 Responsible for Relationship Management, Origination and preparation of Credit Proposals;
 Manage and sanction credit facilities for various contracting companies throughout Qatar with a focus on infrastructure projects and project finance deals;
 Handle large value projects through the entire deal life cycle including due diligence, deal structuring, credit approvals, documentation, disbursement and project monitoring;
 Responsible for a portfolio of clients amounting to an estimated USD 275 million;
 Notable executed transactions include:
 Financed the Orbital Highway Package 3, which is a road project awarded to Habtoor Leighton Group and Al Jaber Engineering JV by the Public Works Authority in Qatar (Ashghal) (Project value was USD 1.7 billion);
 Financed the acquisition of 3 Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) under a contract with Occidental Petroleum (Total loan amount was USD 48 Million).

• Analyze financial information, such as statements, management accounts and cash flow statements;
• Provide quality service to internal customers through undertaking risk assessment analysis of various types of lending proposals;
• Develop models of credit information to predict patterns and trends using specialist statistical software;
• Assess the credit worthiness of client companies;
• Liaise with other employees within the company, such as account managers and product specialists;
• Remain informed about the legal, compliance and market-risk-related issues involved in the approval of credit;

Responsibilities were as follows:
- Attend and participate in all relevant business meetings, and take meeting minutes
- Research: Research the industry/sector that the pitches/mandated companies operate in to gather information required for transactions or pitches. As an analyst
- Identify the drives and dynamics of various industries
- Research the relevant macro-economic indicators for various countries in the MENA region and other European and North American countries
- Fully understand on an operational and financial level.
- Construct financial models: This includes financial models that accurately capture the dynamics of companies, and update the models as required
- Identify and compile information: Gather information with regards to comparable companies (research reports, financial statements etc.).
- Prepare comparable multiples sheets: This includes trading multiples and precedent transaction multiples.
- Attend and participate in all relevant business meetings, and take meeting minutes

- Create and Maintain customer accounts: Interacted on a daily basis with clients in order to maintain a strong working relationship with them and advise them on various investment decisions
- Research: Read a number of research reports that include DCF valuations of various companies as well as other ratios such as P/E and EPS. These ratios were useful in evaluating shareholder equity and future cash flows of various firms. Industry research was equally as important in order to be able to compare companies to one another and identify industry trends
- Fundamental Analysis: Financial statement analysis in order to evaluate company performance and future cash flows. Several financial ratios were also evaluated including net debt, EBITDA margins, etc.
- Technical Analysis: Took an introductory course in technical analysis where I learned how to analyze charts and trends in order to understand concepts such as resistance, support, buy signal and sell signal. Different chart formations were analyzed in order to identify various market trends
- Completed a course in introductory technical analysis (Egyptian Society of Technical Analysts ESTA).
