Activity : Anticipation of sulfuric acid cooler fouling: The fouling in heat exchangers and the resulting cleaning effort is a common task in many companies. This fouling had been identified by the existence of different and tiny solid elements in the absorber cleaning liquid (60% sulfuric acid a high amount of solved minerals). High temperature and dirt contribute to the problem.
(Sulfuric Division): Material and energy balances of the Sulfuric Acid Production Plant (SAPP). The material and energy balance in a plant design is necessary because this fixes the relative flow rates of different flow streams and temperatures in the flow sheet.
