Oversee the electrical work at construction site, resolving issues and ensuring that work is completed according to specification.
Provide engineering and technical input to site team to proceed with the construction activities without any interruption.
Manage the site team of contractor and sub-contractor.
Resolve the issues related to electrical system or devices that arise during the course of construction.
Changes to a site design or practical concerns may result in existing electrical plans and blue prints no longer being viable or specification may change requiring a different power configuration.
Manage construction schedules related to electrical equipment installation at site.
Attend construction meetings to resolving any execution and client issues.
Organized weekly toolbox talk to subcontractor and minimize discrepancy to reduce the re-work.
Project Highlights:
Co-ordination with ABB team to install 380KV GIS & 380/110 KV GIS Substation.
Installation and termination of different types of panels including LCC panel, control & protection panel, AC& DC panels, communication panel, SAS panels, OLP and ILP panels etc.
Installation & testing of Battery Bank, Battery charger.
Installation & Termination of 120 MVA Transformer & station transformer.
Installation of substation Earthing systems.
Responsible for all the Electrical activities in ARDS ( Atmospheric Residue Desulphurization ) unit, quality checks, verification of engineering drawing and documents, ensuring the site installation as per latest approved AFC and typical installation details.
Responsible for HV, MV and LV cable pulling, Glanding and Termination, Hi pot Testing, IR testing and RFI activities.
Fibre optic cable pulling, testing coordination, RFI activities and close out.
MV motor testing, phase sequence test and cable termination activities.
Installation of cable trays, lighting fixtures and supports, power junction box and sockets, lighting junction boxes, local control panel, safety switches, RCU etc.
Responsible for preparation for complete circuit for enersization of lights in plant.
Installation of earthing system in plant and testing of earthing Pit.
Coordination with other departments in order to execute the work on priority basis to avoid rework.
Check and review the drawings and specification, prepare planning schedule associated with the project and monitor electrical contract works.
Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and files.
To prepare Daily and Monthly progress report, Forth Night report, minutes of meeting and keep the record.
Regular follow-up with Consultant for Approval of Material Submittals, Method statements, Drawings & Layouts, etc.
Interaction with Vendors & Suppliers for their quotations, Base design Drawings & scheduling delivery dates for suppliers.
To ensure that construction and erection work is in accordance with the specification and approved drawing and follows good engineering practice, approved codes, quality and applicable standards.
Coordinate with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress and review inspection reports and records of quality control carried out on completed and running project activities.
Check the technical data sheet for the materials which supplied by the supplier and prepare RFI for arrival of new materials.
To supervise the site team to handling all the electrical works considering the safety and quality requirements.
Responsible for Installation and pre commissioning test of all 33 &11 K.V Equipment’s such as 2x20 MVA & 2x6 MVA power transformers as well as auxiliary transformer, CT/PT, Capacitor Bank, control panels.
Responsible for installation, glanding and termination of 33KV GIS, 33KV CRP and 11 KV switchgear panels.
Responsible for Laying of fibre optics cable.
Supervision Cable Laying, Dressing, Glanding and Termination of HV, MV and LV panel, Electrical lighting, Power outlets etc.
Installation of MCC & PMMC Panels MV& LV Motors.
Responsible for Installation of SCADA RTU system, prepare the cable schedule with SCADA engineer and termination of control and communication cable.
Installation of capacitor bank and termination of control cable for panel.
Installation of LVAC panel, Earthing and lighting protection system, lighting fixtures, cable and cable tray.
Installation of battery bank, DC Battery charger and DC DB as per tender specification.
Responsible for installation of internal and external plant lighting.
Regular follow-up with Consultant for Approval of Material Submittals, Method statements, Drawings & Layouts, etc.
Interaction with Vendors & Suppliers for their quotations, Base design Drawings & scheduling delivery dates for suppliers.
Responsible for installation of 110 KV/13.8KV Substation according to scheduled plan.
Installation of all 110 KV and 13.8 K.V Equipment’s such as power transformers as well as auxiliary transformer and 110/13.8 KV switchgear, control panels.
Responsible for installation of Lighting & Earthing System, Cable Laying, Power Distribution, Switchgear for 110/13.8KV substation.
Installation of MV&LV Motors, Glanding and Termination of MCC panels, MOV panel heat tracing, cathodic protection system.
Supervision of site activities such as cable laying, glanding, termination of HV, MV& LV Panels.
Installation of distribution transformer and RMU in plant and Laying of associated electrical cable.
High and Medium Voltage Cable laying of long distance distribution network.
Responsible for Installation of Electrical Distribution Boards (ILDB, OLDB, SSDB, UPSDB), UPS along with Battery Bank, Earthing and Lightning Protection System, Lighting Fixtures, Cable & Cable tray, etc. at site.
Responsible for Installation of LC Panels, Distribution Boards, Diesel Generator Sets, ATS as per the Project scope.
Prepare work progress report of daily, weekly and monthly basis and reporting to client.
Authorized Work Permit issuer for all works.
Installation of 132/33 KV substation and associated electrical switchgear and panels.
To Read S.L.D and installation of panels, wiring, earthing & Lighting system according to it.
Installation of 11/.4kv distribution package substation.
Attended activities (Testing and commissioning) for main Distribution system which Includes Power cables.
Review and prepare Cable scheduling, routing, sizing and thereafter execution at site using Cable Trays, Conduiting, etc.
Installation of medium and high mast plant lighting and associated cable work.
Installation of motor and generator, LV Panel.
Supervising of cable laying, cable pulling, glanding and termination of HV, MV and LV cable, lighting wiring, conduit wiring.
Estimating the materials required for Installation or Execution of work and supervises Man power handling and distributing those works.
I did Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from Aligarh Muslim University in 2009.
