Senior Instrumentation Engineer (Design Engineering)
Duties and responsibilities:
• Preparation of engineering concepts and issue into detail design.
• Produce Instrument work packs, scope of works.
• Provide improved alternative technical solutions / recommend new technologies.
• Control of compliance with the terms of equipment design or technical specifications of the project and the applicable specifications, codes and standards.
• Interacts with designers, process / mechanical / electrical engineers, operations / maintenance personnel, reliability and metrology groups.
• Creating New / Updating Existing documents (Datasheets, P&ID, Wiring / termination / loop diagrams, Hook up drawings, C&E matrix’s, Cable and instruments schedules / layouts).
• Outsourcing and control of Instrument Engineering works by Contractors.
• Liaise with vendors & purchasing department. Create material requests, Reviewing of BIDs / Technical evaluation, Approve purchase requests & purchase orders.
• Control of technical compliance of purchased equipment and materials.
• Participation in incoming inspection of purchased equipment (FAT/SAT).
• Selection cost-effective solutions to projects and materials, taking into account construction and operating costs.
• Support to Construction / Commissioning and Operations / Maintenance groups.
Facility Engineering
Duties and responsibilities:
• Attend weekly I&E staff meetings.
• Produce E&I job packs for TA or routine projects.
• Provide improved alternative technical solutions / recommend new technologies.
• Control of compliance with the terms of equipment design or technical specifications of the project and the applicable specifications, codes and standards.
• Create IWR as and when necessary.
• Liaise with designers to create / revise drawings.
• Liaise with process / mechanical engineers, operations personnel, reliability and metrology groups.
• Creating New / Updating Existing Datasheets.
• Outsourcing and control of E&I Engineering works by JP’s to Contractors.
• Purchasing of Materials:
• Create material requests.
• Approve purchase requests & purchase orders.
• Liaise with vendors & purchasing department.
• Control of technical compliance of purchased equipment and materials.
• Participation in incoming inspection of purchased equipment.
• Perform functional tests as needed.
• Cost Control.
• Selection cost-effective solutions to projects and materials, taking into account operating costs and standardization and certification of equipment.
• Produce job packs for construction :
• Load AFC JP’s into E1 for construction.
• Liaise with construction and Start Up groups (Address any queries).
Duties and responsibilities:
Guide of metrology direction in the company in accordance with the Law of RK "On ensuring the uniformity of measurements":
• Works concerning to record funds of measurement in the company;
• Purchase of MI;
• Develop and approve the schedule for verification and calibration of MI;
• Monitoring the condition of measuring timeliness of maintenance, calibration (verification), correct use of measurement equipment;
• Preservation of MI, transfer MI into indicators;
• Organization of maintenance work, repair and calibration of measuring instruments under agreements with third parties;
• Participation in committees to determine the causes occurrence of defects;
• Development and implementation of normative documents on metrological provision in the company;
• Actualization of normative legal documents;
• Participation in internal audits;
• Metrological certification of MI, inclusion the MI in the Register of GSI RoK;
• Provide training and attestation training personnel in the field of metrology;
• Organization of verification - calibration laboratory in the company:
1. Verification-calibration of instruments measuring the pressure.
2. Verification-calibration of instruments measuring the temperature.
3. Verification-calibration of instruments measuring electrical quantities.
4. Verification-calibration of instruments measuring geometric quantities.
• Purchase of etalon equipment, metrology stands, additional means for verification and calibration of temperature instruments, electrical appliances, instruments for pressure and geometrical quantities;
• Certification of testing equipment;
• Preparation and development of documents required for accreditation of the laboratory for the right to verification and calibration according ST RK ISO / IEC 17025-2007;
• Cooperation with KazInMetr and NCA;
Instrument Supervisor
Duties and responsibilities:
Creating work orders for Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Checking of instruments faults in plant in operation on gas and non-gas hazardous areas (control and emergency shutdown valves, sensors, transmitters) organization uninterrupted operation of control system on:
• Ingersoll Rand Air Compressors 3Stages -3 x 10Knm3/h;
• N2 Generation Plant;
• Water & Waste water treatments.
• Macchi steam Boiler 3 x 350000 Kg/h - 48 Bar
• Water, condensate and steam pumps;
• Fire fighting pumps.
• Fuel gas station and compressors;
• Reservoir and Tanks park;
• Repair and maintenance, replacement, preparation for calibration and verification instruments, sensors, transmitters, pressure gauges, vibration, speed, axial, radial displacement sensors. Calibration of instruments and valves with communicators, calibrators (Hart 475, Unomat, Druk DPI, Metran);
• Create material requests for instruments / bulks, spare parts, Reviewing of BIDs / Technical evaluation, Approve purchase requests & purchase orders.
Duties and responsibilities:
Managed conducting of the construction-assembling and commissioning
Works at brown and green fields.
Organization of safety works on site:
• Opening all types of permit s for production work, according to
procedures of the customer. Preparation and completion of necessary
documents;
• Assessment of production risks, safety inductions, development
programs and HSE instructions.
Supervision of Construction and installation works:
• Excavation of cable trenches, laying and termination of electrical, instrumentation and trace heating cables;
• Installation of trays, supports, instrumentation tubes;
• Installation of junction boxes, switchboards, PDBs, RTU panels, instruments, valves, F&G detectors;
Commissioning works:
• Fire and Gas Detection Systems;
• ESD, DCS, PLS, SCADA Systems from Honeywell, Foxboro, Triconex, Siemens; ABB
• Checking and calibration of smart instrumentation (control, emergency,
solenoid valves, sensors, transmitters);
• Checking of loop circuits (Loop check);
• Impulse lines (Leak test);
Monitoring of daily reports for the electrical and instrumentation works :
• Reports of test the integrity of the cable (low voltage power, heat tracing and control cables, measuring insulation resistance of cables after installation, after connection of the cable to JB, distribution panels.
• Installation of junction boxes, instruments, fire and gas detectors and control panels.
• Checking acts hidden work performed on construction (excavation, earthing, installation, electrical and instrumentation etc. )
• Inspection of work performed ( installation of cable trays, supports installation, wiring, etc.) with a filling of executive documentation (Checklist, Report, Punchlist)
• Preparation of forms with results of the tests, calibrations.
• Execution of documentation as per Standard Form of RoK (VSN and SNiP)
Duties included:
Opening all types of permit s for production work, according to
procedures of the customer. Preparation and completion of necessary
documents;
• Excavation of cable trenches;
• Laying of electrical, instrumentation, grounding cables;
• Installation of cable glands, termination of cable in instruments, JB, panels and in cabinets;
• Thermite welding of cable (ear thing);
• Installation of a self-regulating trace heating cables;
• Installation of lighting tower, switchboards, RTU & WHC panels, instrumentation, cable trays, supports, instrument tubes;
• Installation of fire thermal, gas and flame detectors, acoustic and manual call points;
Academic degree – bachelor of engineering and technology in automation and control.
