• Achieved excellent productivity, cost, quality, and safety through both individual and team contributions.
• Provided technical support for all projects assigned by management including well design review.
• Supervised rig crew in the execution of drilling and completion jobs according to drilling program.
• Maintained project timeline in the drilling site and ensured that the drilling and completion cost was not overbudget.
• Monitored drilling parameters and communicated with the team leader if there was a concern while drilling a hole.
• Provided advice and recommendations to drilling and completion operations and communicated with team leader and engineering team if there was an issue in the operation.
• Implemented initiatives for process improvement.
• Successfully drilled 6 S-type wells with zero incident operations.

Scientific Researcher at University of Ottawa
  • Canada - Ottawa
  • June 2017 to January 2021

• Reviewed scientific journals and cited a variety of references from the journals to support argumentations over the research report.
• Performed a simulation of pH control system of waste water and programmed three different controllers on Visual Basic to maintain the waste water pH on the control system.
• Broadened data processing skill by processing sample data taken from the simulation activity on Microsoft Excel with multiple complex functions and formulas.
• Quantitatively analyzed and interpreted big data resulted from the simulation and explained the result in an engineering paper manner.
• Provided engineering analysis of the concept, program development, and the future prospect of the controllers on pH control of waste water treatment.
• Strengthened verbal communication in technical matters through public presentation and seminars.
• Improved teamwork skills through collaboration with my professor and research group peers.

HES Engineer at Chevron Pacific Indonesia
  • Indonesia - Pekanbaru
  • April 2016 to May 2016

• Coordinated field operators to collect daily air emissions data from every crude oil processing and power generation station in the fields.
• Evaluated the data to confirm whether every station complied or not to the company’s standard of how much pollutants contained in flue gas are allowed to be released out before they exit a channel to the atmosphere.
• Presented the data in the monthly meeting to take actions in tackling air pollution issue.
• Regularly conducted field visit to review flue gas processing units of stations which did not comply to the company’s standard of the allowable amount of pollutants comprised of in flue gas.
• Conducted research on how to prevent environmental damages due to the company’s business activities in the fields.

Drilling Site Representative at Chevron Pacific Indonesia
  • Indonesia - Pekanbaru
  • May 2013 to April 2016

• Demonstrated leadership while supervising drilling activities from spud in to rig release in oil-field onshore rigs and leading over 30 crews.
• Project participation: participated in a lean six sigma project using the DMAIC methodology to reduce potassium chloride water usage in the gravel pack job operation.
• Forecast and monitored the operation timeline based on approved fixed expenditure (AFE) and project schedule.
• Skilled and experienced in drilling vertical, horizontal and directional wells. Drilled over 50 vertical wells, 1 horizontal well and 3 directional wells.
• Always conducted location survey before a rig was stood up in a new location: area dimension, soil stiffness, water resource, and access road.
• Led a safety meeting discussing lifting and rigging safety practices and hazard identification and mitigation plan with rig crews before rigging up in a new location.
• Reviewed the drilling program to study the potential hazards of every geological layer.
• Regularly monitored the drilling paramaters (rotation speed, weight on bit, pump speed), geological cuttings, survey, and mud weight and properties while drilling a hole.
• Inspected all casings, tubings, rods, and wellhead set and made sure that they were delivered in correct numbers and in good conditions (no defects).
• Reviewed the casing tally before running casings into the wellbore. I always made sure that the number and length of the total casings that would be run into the hole were correct according to the hole depth.
• Checked the calculation of cementing (volume of cement that would be pumped into the wellbore) before executing cementing job.
• Frequently kept an eye on rigging down activity to ensure all crews implemented safety practices in lifting and rigging activity.
• Implemented decision making and problem solving skills responding to operational problem in order to minimize downtime cost and avoid over budget on AFE.
• Conducted lookbacks on the executed projects and shared best practices to drilling operational and engineering team.
• Achieved “Rig of the Month” from Drilling Department of Chevron Pacific Indonesia for the safest and most efficient drilling operation.
• Collaborated with drilling engineering team, production team, petroleum engineering and geology team to meet the Government of Indonesia’s oil production target by successfully completing the “North Duri Development” project as the effort of increasing oil production.
• Provided high quality technical reports to the drilling superintendent and drilling engineering team.
