Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management
Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with ITD team.
Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
Assist in planning and establishing service level agreements with business units.
Prepare RFPs, business cases, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.
Review and evaluate vendors’ technical proposals for infrastructure-specific products and services.
Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures
Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, etc.
Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
Assist in defining hardware and software standards in conjunction with stakeholders.
Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
Test server and storage performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server and storage infrastructure.
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.
Proactively monitor network and system reliability and performance levels.
Assist in designing and enforce proper change management procedures for IT infrastructure lifecycle.
Review, evaluate and approve new IT solution/systems/application from third parties or in- house from infrastructure, performance and security prospective and ensure that it both, fit for use and purpose.
Assist in IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
Design, manage and maintain NBAD Egypt data centers, main and DR, including disaster recovery procedures and technically manage any tasks or activities needed to ensure business continuity.
Direct and administrate a contingent of network, security, system and database administrators, service desk analysts and desktop engineers and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed, and become familiar with ITD policies, services, and staff.
Manages staff and is accountable for personnel actions including hiring, performance and salary reviews, corrective action and termination.
Ensures that all staff are properly trained, supervised and developed. Interacts with business users, IT associates, third-party vendors and builds relationships across the organization.
Manage all procedures related to identification, prioritization and resolution of incidents, including the monitoring, tracking and coordination of Service Desk functions.
Develop and implement service desk activity metrics, supporting key performance indicators including customer satisfaction metrics.
Provide quality of technical support service in line with the performance standards and Information Security policies/guidelines. In addition to in-depth technical advice and solutions to upgrades, installation and integration ensuring that existing and proposed technical systems and infrastructure operate effectively and efficiently and senior escalation to problem management.
Lead a team of systems and database administrators, and provide a second level support for them and for helpdesk team.
be responsible for the operation, maintenance and expansion of enterprise IT system as well as supporting individual IT project needs involving software installation, configuration, and verification testing. This person will also focus on the administration of the following (desktop PC’s, servers and software applications).
