Responsible for Group accounting policies & procedures, financial planning, reporting and analysis to support business decision making. Reporting directly to Chief Financial Officer and presenting to executive management team.

Accomplishments:

•Core team member of Amlak’s Corporate Debt Restructuring (CDR) team in conjunction with Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, 28 Commercial Banks, Legal Advisors, Financial Advisors over a 3 year period which led to lifting the DFMsuspension on trading of Amlak shares
•LedOracle 12i Suite implementation and the resulting change management of ERP increasing performance and efficiencies.

Primary responsibilities:

•Reviews preparation of group consolidated financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
•Annual Budget preparation and performance analysis for 20 cost centers, 8 subsidiaries over 4 lines of business (Commercial, Retail, Estate & Corporate Finance Investment).
•Responsible for management reportingpacks and ALCO packs on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
•Review and ensure Groups accounting&treasury compliance with policies and procedures manual
•Working with Acting CFO in preparation of funding strategies and liaising with corporate finance advisors and external parties for securing sustainable funding
•Monthly cash flow analysis and preparing a summarized reports relating to cash in-flow and cash out-flow; invest excess cash in short term wakala with Islamic banks
•Oversees the preparation of Semi - Annual Cash Sweeps to Financers (through Restructuring Facility Agent)
•Responsible for preparation of Restructuring Performance Reporting to Facility Agent
•Reporting on Company Performance and KPIs to Restructuring Monitoring Accountant on an annual basis
•Oversees preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual Central bank Reports
•Preparation of budget and reforecasts after discussion and agreement with from various departments.
•Assist in preparation of departmental strategies which acts as feeder in to overall strategy of the company
•Working with Risk Management Group highlighting risks and monitoring of Risk Register
•Implementation and monitoring Risk Mitigation measures
•Guides and motivates a team of 9 staff to ensure country compliance on Group standard for Audit, Control and financial reporting including reporting of risks

Other responsibilities:

Investor Relations (Nov 2016 onwards): Heads the Investor Relation function in the Amlak reporting to the CFO which includes the following
•Preparation of Quarterly and Year End Financial Press Releases
•Disclosure of Financial Press Releases to DFM through company secretary and wider stakeholders through media distribution.
•Preparation and Project Management of the Annual Report in co-ordination with various departments
•Preparation of Quarterly and Year End Investor Packs for distribution to wider stakeholders
•Liaising with DFM and ESCA on matters related to Investor Relations
•Managing the day to day operational activities of IR department

InformationSecurity (May 2016 onwards): Manages the outsourced Information Security function in the Amlak which includes the following
•Ensuring performance and reporting on Penetration Testing (annual)
•Ensuring performance and reporting on Vulnerability Assessment (semi- annual)
•Reporting on the conduct of DR Site audits to Executive Management
•Conducting training and awareness of the new IS threats
•Liaising with IT department for closure of all identified risk which relating to IS
•Managing the day to day operational activities of IS department

Corporate Strategy Formulation (Jan 2018 onwards): reporting to the CFO and plays a role in the following
•KPI and Objective Setting for departments
•Corporate Business Planning
•Departmental Scorecard Monitoring and Review
•Conducting workshops with consultants and various head of departments for long term and short term strategy formulation
•Managing the day to day operational activities of Strategy department
