-Managing 3 teams within the ICT department, as well as shared resources with various company departments including Fleet Management, Warehouse, and HR

Bin Quraya is a 40+ old Saudi company that operates mainly within the oil and gas service sector, and employs a diverse staff as well as a management team hailing from Saudi Arabia, USA, UK and other countries.

I was brought in after I did the re-branding of the company's image (which I did as a consultant at the time) as a full time employee to help establish its IT and Branding/Marketing departments and bring them to a level consistent with the company's place within the industry. At the same time, the company was in the midst of a transformation from an establishment to a holding company.

My accomplishment and responsibilities through out this period includes:

- Establishing the IT department, grown from a single person to 10+ assets

- Creating our messaging infrastructure, including a novel multiple delivery email system incorporating solutions from Google (G Suite) and other vendors

- Establishing and maintaining our cyber security compliance protocols and documents

- Creating a modern (if rudimentary to begin with) web and social presence for the company

- Creating our corporate profile and company literature

- Managed the development of our corporate videos

- Starting our annual participation in international Oil & Gas events including ADIPEC and OTC

- Updating our networking infrastructure and establishing reliable communications with our branches and site offices

- Creating an in-house developed asset management system (and dashboards) to track our huge fleet of equipment and their status (to augment a newly commissioned fleet tracking system)

- Created our first HR database as a side-product of developing a printed ID system, exposing several dashboards to management that helped in strategic planning

- Planned our first ERP deployment (management-mandated vendor) and coordinated with the vendor, in the process creating a steering committee and establishing a ticketing system and other project resources

- Created a number of 'bolt-on' apps for the ERP deployment to supply missing functionality

I was responsible for managing high-level accounts (both partners and clients), creating new business opportunities and more importantly researching and creating new business lines as well as optimizing our current business operations. I was also deeply involved in setting the corporate and hiring strategies and creating the corporate literature and marketing campaigns, both online and in traditional media.

After the transformation of CBS from a personal establishment into a limited liability company and the introduction of new partners and a significant cash influx, I was tasked with running the day to day operations by the board, in addition to my regular duties of overseeing design and development services as well as the strategic planning and budgeting of operations and new ventures.

As the only higher management resource available in the office, my accomplishments included:

- Expanding both the sales team (from 2 resources to a team of 4 sales engineers, a sales coordinator and a senior sales manager), and the development team (from 3 resources to a team consisting of a project manager, 4 developers, and 2 designers).

- Creating a corporate infrastructure with the hiring of a Chief Operations Manager, a CFO and Office Managers both in Khobar and in Jeddah (where we hired a senior sales engineer and made other resources available as needed).

- I also created the corporate process and associated documentations and work flows, and transitioned all our operations to cloud computing to maximize collaboration and increase the redundancy of vital systems.

- I was also instrumental in increasing our net sales for this period by more than 300%, bringing in (and road-mapping) our biggest account to date and overseeing all our major projects.

I was responsible for:

- Creating our brand and corporate identity; including coming up with the name and logo, as well as designing all associated templates and files (signage, business cards, folders, leaflets, email signatures, screen savers and wallpapers, MS Office templates and letterheads, as well as corporate presentations and profile) and adding the content in both English & Arabic versions.

- Drafting our services and planning our products (including systems designs, pricing, designing and developing marketing and technical materials as well as marketing campaigns, and creating demos and presentations and giving them to potential clients).

- Designing and launching our online presence, including website design and development and SEO, online ads and seasonal greetings and newsletters.

- Creating a hiring strategy as well as creating interview questionnaires, in addition to conducting the interviews themselves. Primarily for design and technical staff but also for other resources (sales, management and auxiliaries).

- Managing the production team and pitching in with design, development and programming work for high-level clients and projects that were out of the team's competency level.

My responsibilities included opening new opportunities with existing and new clients, art direction and overseeing design & interface design in all our projects, as well as creating new software solutions for new projects utilizing emerging technologies and software mash-ups.

Some of my accomplishments for this period were designing a real-estate auctioning system for alOula, as well as creating its multi-display front end using Flash & SQL with VB as middle-ware (this system was used successfully - with me personally overseeing its operation- in the biggest real estate auction in the kingdom to date, held in Jeddah). Other modules to access the system and the data were developed by other members of the team.

I was also responsible for creating operational work flows and associated documents and systems for the Business Application Development Dept. in GNS, as well as some associated sales and marketing material. Many of my created templates and systems are still in use today and have been packaged successfully to clients.

I was also responsible for creating the material for (Booklet, Interactive Content, and Certification) and conducting a 3 day course entitled "Web Development Using Dreamweaver & Contribute" for several different sessions.

I was responsible for all web-related design and development, including creating a rich content-management department portal and training users and content contributors (this included project design, modular design, interface & database design and writing the code, as well as overseeing day-to-day operations and creating a reporting system for representing the usage statistics and associated data, as well as a variety of support web-based applications for various other departmental projects. I also spearheaded a number of projects to streamline the department's visual identity and create appropriate templates for our user base.

My responsibilities included A-Z website design and development, with support from team members in the coding of dynamic modules. I was involved in every stage of the project, from gathering information from the client to the planning of the website's features and characteristics, through designing the prototypes and wire-frames as well as navigational structure and content distribution, to the actual design and creating of XHTML templates and content insertions, ending with QA testing of mine and others' projects.

Responsibilities included creating corporate identity concepts and presenting them visually using traditional media, as well as coming up with design & copy (text) concepts for print advertisement campaigns. \n This was my first full time design job and was an exciting and learning experie3nce.
