Projects Hail and Ghasha Arteficial islands gas sour project in Abu Dhabi on
behalf of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for preparing
the detailed design drawings and project specifications. This project
aims to design 11 artificial island of areas around (500x500) m2
in
addition the approach channels and the borrow areas for reclamation.
My role is sharing in preparation of all geotechnical related
specification (Soil Improvement, Dredging, reclamation, and
monitoring instrumentation), Preparing and following-up the
geotechnical investigation program, analysis of ground investigation
results to prepare the geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR) and
geotechnical design reports (GDR), preparing the geotechnical
requirements for the borrow areas and suitability of reclamation
material, assessment of existing ground conditions and
recommendations for soil improvement to meet project specifications
in terms of strength and schedule, evaluation of alternative designs for
various type of retaining structures, Evaluation of induced settlement
due to earthquake events where applicable, liquefaction potential
assessment.
Relocation of Air Defense Site, the client at this project was Royal
Commission (RC), and my role in this project to My role is sharing in
preparation and following-up the geotechnical investigation program,

Projects * Rehabilitation and extension of Jorf Lasfer Port, Morocco. This
project aims to design of the rehabilitation works and design new
required berths. Rehabilitation work includes designing and
construction follow up for secant piles wall to retain old corroded
caissons, the total secant piles wall is around 1.0 km and the
secant piles are 30 to 35 m depth. The new berths required draft
depth is 23.0 m, and it was designed using diaphragm wall (1.2 m
thick) tied using tierods to back/rear piles.
* General Cargo & Liquid Terminal, Salalah, Oman. This project
aims to convert an old breakwater to be a new port, the new port
includes a crane on rails, and my role to study the differential
settlement between the two rails of the crane, in addition to
supervise deep and surface soil improvement activity (Vibro-
compaction) which was required to improve the soil below the
crane rails and to check with dynamic cone testing, in addition to
design and supervision dewatering system required to construct
the manholes.
* Maritime Traffic Coordination Center (MTCC), Kuwait. This
project aims to construct a tower on a platform, the platform
comprises of a backfilling material on a soft soil, my rule
was to study the expected settlement due to the weight of the
structure and the backfilling material in addition to study the
preloading process suitable way to expedite the consolidation
process.
* New general cargo port, Damietta, Egypt. My role in this project
to follow up bored piles construction in addition to preparing
bored piles construction method statement, and method statement
required for bored piles load tests.
* Sharing in the below power plants projects, which are usually
constructed underground with depth down to 20.0 m under the
ground level, my role was to design retaining and dewatering
system requited to construct the structures in a dry condition.
The retaining system usually was sheet piles, secant piles or a
diaphragm wall with struts/anchors.
* Banha thermal power plant project 750MW, Egypt.
* Suez thermal power plant project, Egypt.
* Yanbu thermal power plant project, Saudi Arabia.
* Al Marina development project, Saudi Arabia.
