Position : Senior Safety Engineer
Duration : From March 2021 Up to Now
Job Responsibilities: Senior Safety Engineer
•Execute and ensure safety plans in the workplace according to legal and company guidelines.
•Enforce policies and culture of health and safety.
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risks and adherence to the law.
• Inspection of equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
•Participate in accidents or incidents investigation to discover causes and mitigate its repetitions in the future.
•Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.
•Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous activities and unsafe situation.
•Promote safety practices and enforce safety guidelines at the job site.
•Support the management and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE polices guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are meeting.
•Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and equipment’s.
•Develop all the required documentations, operational checklists and reports for the HSE system.
•Assist direct project manager on pre-operational risk assessment on new sites and provide help while designing risk mitigation measures.
•Responsible for preparing written weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentation related to HSE performance.
•Attend daily projects sites strictly on site in order to ensure monitoring of safety measures and implementation. Ensure the provision of PPE on-site for all employees when required.
•Perform periodic inspections, audits in accordance to the project HSE schedule to keep track of all activity’s
status.
•Identifying ways of reducing risk to avoid accident.
•Provide technical expertise on HSE related matters to the organization to safely execute the operational demands as required.
•Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy and apply and implement Company hazard observation system.
EXPERIENCE IN KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
Client : Saudi Electricity Company (NG SEC)
Contractor : United Horizon Company for Contracting (AFAQ)
Project : Installation of 110kv U/G cables for 110/13.8kv Al-Ferdous substation Jeddah.
Position : Safety Engineer
Duration : From March 2018 till March 2021.
Job Responsibilities: Safety Engineer
•Supporting in development of project HSE plan while conducting safety committee minutes of meetings and trainings of employees on various topics, and ensuring implementation of environmental laws as per Saudi govt. agency (PME)
•Serving as HSE commanding officer for entire project, while executing safety & environmental audits & generating compliance report. Implementing all HSE aspects (SEC 5-star HSMS, ISO 45001 health & safety managements system standards Procedure).
•Performing daily inspection of work site to identify unsafe acts and condition, while ensuring provisioning of recommendation to correct deficiencies. Executing weekly toolbox talks with employees & producing safety reports.
•Investigating all incidents/accidents within scope of project and submitting accident report immediately to client and Management. Liaising with employees & management to improve safety standards, executing JSA & risk assessment and communicating to workers. Conducting mock drills to ensure efficacy of disaster management plan.
•Plan & execute all the HSE aspects including the client's ISO 45001 / 5-Star safety & health management system.
•The preparedness, revision, and control of the Project HSE Plan to be maintained and ensure responsibility to distribute the latest approved copy to the Project Manager and retain the superseded revisions.
•Participate in project weekly progress meetings, Be responsible and accountable for the proper performance of field HSE officers under his authority.
•Advise the construction team on health, safety, and environmental matters, to monitor the health, safety, and environmental performance of the Company, appointed sub-contractors, and any affected parties.
•Have close coordination with QC Engineer and Construction Department for upcoming critical activities and make sure all required documentation like JSA and Risk Assessment is available and well communicated with the field crew.
•Participate in project weekly progress meetings.
•Be responsible to prepare weekly and monthly reports and providing statistics on the safety status of the project to the Client Representative.
•Maintain regular and effective liaison with all levels of management and the health and safety authorities,
•Monitor and maintain health and safety records, recommend changes to the management system as required, and conduct & ensure that all personnel attend the site safety induction program and other specific training modules.
•Perform regular surveillance audits on our own workforce and our sub-contractors to identify compliance with the management system, including recommendations for corrective or preventive action where appropriate,
•Ensure that a system to record and monitor potentially hazardous substances brought to the site is in place.
•Provide a range of services including Project Safety performance, Training, internal Audits, and Incidence/Accident investigation.
•Liaising with clients and relevant authorities on safety related issues.
EXPERIENCE IN KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
Project : IRRQAA 380KV OHTL project Riyadh KSA.
Company : GS Engineering and Construction Corporation Ltd.
Position : HSE Engineer
Duration : From May 2017 to March 2018
Job Responsibilities: - HSE Engineer
