• Preparation of stand-alone and foreign currency based consolidated set of financial statements at various business levels under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) on monthly basis.
• Providing management with monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts along with detailed analysis and commentary for various entities in different countries across the Group having major implications related to IAS-21 (Foreign Currency Translations).
• Preparation of Investor Decks reflecting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), liquidity analysis, and summary of financial information presented in the financial statements.
• Coordinating and liaising with group and component auditors to ensure timely interim and year-end audits.
• Ensuring that all VAT transactions are applied accurately and consistently across the accounting system.
• Preparation of monthly funding request along with detailed analysis of working capital for various businesses across the group.
• Preparation of business plans, budgets and forecasts for different businesses.
• Building financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various industry-related operating metrics.
• Identify and recommend necessary changes in accounting system to meet growing business needs.
• To continuously review and monitor the adequacy of systems, procedures and other relevant records to ensure compliance with VAT and other taxation regulations in UAE, KSA & Jordan.
• Handling full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role including payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Supervising the accuracy and completeness of General Ledger (GL) including update of the Charts of Accounts, modification and closing of posting cycle of the journal vouchers.
• Preparing management reports (MIS) for the board of directors to assist in decision making.
• Supervising and leading preparation of annual budgets, including CAPEX to generate pro-forma financial statements.
• Managing working capital through maintaining monthly cash burn reports and forecasting future payments and receipts.
• Looking after project costing to highlight deviation from budgeted cost targets and developing controls to avoid such controllable variations in future.
• Leading central cost allocation at business & project level and ensuring intercompany balances reconciliation.
• Providing assistance to the Managing Director regarding all aspects of the financial management for effective business decisions.
• Maintaining relationships with third parties including auditors, key clients, bankers, lawyers and vendors.
• Developing of general audit strategy, detailed audit plan and audit programs in co-ordination with audit staff for conducting audit assignments.
• Performing audit procedures on key business processes including revenue, cost and other components of financial statements.
• Making detailed time budgets and coordinating with the staff to meet the reporting deadlines.
• Identifying weaknesses, addressing risk and giving suggestions to improve internal control system.
• Proactively interacting with key client’s management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business processes improvements.
