Responsibilities Included:
- Taken patient histories, performed physical examinations and helped diagnose patients from various departments and carried out paperwork to get them admitted to the departments.
- In charge of 4 beds in each department of surgery block. Responsibilities included daily wound cleaning and dressing changes, timely drainage tube extractions and suture removal.
- Followed up on patient cases at inpatient department and wrote up daily case updates and discharge papers and case summaries for hospital record.
- Helped address patient concerns and queries about their condition and prognosis.
- Attended Outpatient Department and assisted in history taking, physical examinations and diagnosis of patients of Neurology, OBGYN, Cardiology. Nephrology, Rheumatology, Oncology, Haematology, Gastrointestinal and Orthopaedics (specialized in spinal cord problems)
- Performed 4 epidural anaesthesia on guidance of instructors.
- Assisted in bone marrow aspiration at haematology.
