Product: Standard Chartered Digital Retail Banking Application - Web and Mobile App
The digital Online and Mobile banking application for retail customers of Standard Chartered Bank offers an improved banking experience, featuring functions such as transfers and payments, account management, balance and transaction inquiries, QR and proxy-based transactions, as well as digital currency and wallet management. The application prioritizes delivering a seamless user interface and experience, while also incorporating highly scalable REST API-based architecture on the backend.
• Designed and Implemented Singapore PayNow - FAST Payment Capability: I was responsible for developing and delivering the Singapore PayNow - FAST Payment capability for Standard Chartered Bank. This involved creating a seamless and efficient payment system that adhered to industry standards.
• Enhanced Cross-Border Payment Application: I improved the capabilities of an Apache Camel-based cross-border payment application used in banking. Additionally, I migrated it to a Spring Boot microservices architecture, which allowed for better scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborated Across Teams: I worked closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems. Specifically, I focused on the bill payment modules, ensuring they functioned seamlessly together.
• Modernized Legacy Systems: I successfully migrated legacy monolithic systems to modern software platforms using microservices architecture patterns. This transformation allowed for better agility, scalability, and overall system performance.

It acts as the central hub for various channels, including Digital Banking, Branch, Payroll, and TP systems, facilitating the final posting of transactions and serving as the primary source of customer data.
