• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on radio and tv broadcasting equipment.
• Installing and providing play out server support both hardware and software.
• Configuring of equipment for multiple channels per carrier and SCPC independently .
• Carried out installation from customer’s source, play out equipment to RF satellite equipment.
• Monitor RF signal strength, distribution, channeling and attenuation.
• Operation and optimization of digital and analog equipment.
• To check equipment and determining when and what type of maintenance is needed.
• To minimize loss of service at times of equipment failure by rapidly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision.
• To make line of sight link from remote location to MCR for live events.
• Shoot a carrier to satellite and trouble shoot in it.
• To get down a channel from one satellite and put it up on another satellite using IRD, receiver and other equipment .
• To encode, multiplex and modulate signal using different type of equipment made by different companies e.g tandberg, agilis, harmonic, digisat, radyne, paradise, adventec, dibsys and other companies.
• To set transmission stream and transmit to two different carriers at the same time.
• Configure encoder for single or multiple channels by using proper PSI, PAT, CAT and NIT.
• Statistical multiplexing and modulating using standard parameters.
• Trouble shoot different type of errors from camera, capturing box, studio, MCR, play out servers uplink and downlink equipment.
• Basic IT and networking.
• Analyze and rectify technical errors on equipment.
• Arrange things and actions in a certain order or pattern to a specific rule or set of rules.
• To resolve customer’s problem internally, externally and via remote access.
• Extensive experience in equipment for broadcasting tv and radio, MCR, Studio, play out servers, RF chain, satellite uplink, downlink equipment, spectrum analyzer, transmission system and other related system.
• Sufficient knowledge for radio, tv, signal transmission and propagation.
• Proactively keep customers informed throughout all stages of all processes by phone, email and instant messenger.
